You know what the real problem is... STB is too good when playing together as team...
It does make people rage quit when for the most part, no one else has a mic, no one else has figured out how to squad up effectively, no one can put up a decent counter to you guys, most new PS+ players are all still in milita gear, and you're already rich in DUST terms as seen by some of the tank spamming I have seen because you already own the top spots in every game taking kills from the other players who basically are getting your leftovers. So while you guys get more powerful, the other players are left with little pickings. Hence we get other posts like "I am not skilling fast enough...", or.. "I don't make enough ISK... ", etc. I admire this about you guys... and they should really just suit down to militia to protect their wallet during the matches when on the wrong end of the stick so you don't make even more ISK.
I've also notcied that when there are only a 1-2 STB in a room, instead of 4-6, the games are a lot more balanced and result in a more entertaining experience for everyone in the district. With all the crashes, freezes, INVALID FIT, etc. who wants to spend the one precious game he finally got into getting shot in the face for 20 minutes with nothing to show for it at the end? Soon, when other corporations make similar efforts to be more team oriented it will be harder for STB. I think this is really an artifact of your MAG experience as MAG really requires the same sort of squad communication and tactical play for the most part....
Secondly, you guys may be suffering a little from the "Don't hate me because I'm beautiful.." syndrome.. It's kinda like the New York Yankees... you either love them, or hate them.. and most people that hate them because they win so much and/or their players are too 'effing cocky...
Your EVE Wardecs will mean nothing if you never undock, so it will be a waste of ISK for those folks trying to dec you right now. However, as mentioned I think here and in the other "EV" thread... a little humility from your rank and file will go a LONG way in solidifying you guys as a partner with EVE corps/alliances instead of a competitor (even if your master plan is to compete)... For those that missed the other thread... it is a good read once you wade through all the BS in the middle. Basically it says STB/EV won't be able to "Win" just by being good on the ground. Most long time EVE pilots already know this and are actually trying to help... but the message may be getting lost in the words....

TItans can carry about 12 spare fully fitted for war battleships to help replaces losses when far from home (where respanwing in eve can litterally take hours to return to the same battle)
Titans also improve the entire fleet's performance. Carry massive weapons and one on one there isnt another super capital or capital ship that could survive them, especially with the doomsday weapon that can one shot annoying carriers and dreadnaugths valued at 1 and 2 billion in hulls respectively.
Overall price breakdown is Titans 70+ billion Super Cariers 40 billion appox Dreadnaughts 2 billion Carriers 1 billion Battleships 100-250 million a hull BCs 50-60m Cruisers 5-20million Destroyers 1-2 million Frigates .75-1 million
I think I'll just buy some frigates with my I'll gotten gains...
Just like in DUST, the mods also cost.. in many cases you will find these EVE hull prices below what it actually cost to fit them with decent modules. This is why in most cases EVE pilots are VERY careful when flying their ship in hostile space, and led to the saying "Only fly what you can afford to lose"... it also even keeps a whole category of pilots never venturing into hostile space at all and will go days or hours out of their way to avoid certain systems known for getting one's ship destroyed. I've heard that it's going to be destroyer class hulls that can fit the modules required to do an orbital strike....
It's also why you might find an alliance spend months or longer planning before executing a campaign that would put ships at risk.

Iron Wolf Saber wrote:Ahem, let me correct a badly circulated information.
Any and every ship able to fit the weapons can orbitally strike. Effectiveness damage accurady varies from class to class.
Destroyers 'may' get a precision as part of thier rebuffing of a class (however this may be dropped when they introduce the tier 2 destroyers.)
Overall its all on the white board.
Now for the current up to date rumor milling
The current expectations.
Ships will have to fit special bombardment computers and weapons designed for transatmospheric operations. These weapons will have horrendous performance against space born threats so each bombardment ship will require escorts to defend from hostile targets.
Frigate hulls are slightly stronger than Warbarges but just as small area and posisbly less accurate which means the area hit is not where you threw down the request at.
Destroyer hulls are probably goning to be super precise and longer bombardment phase but same amount of dps as a frigate.
Cruiser hulls we're probably talking about wiping out turret instlalaions or CRUs and pop tier 1 tanks.
Battlecruisers would be similar to cruisers in having longer endurance but same amount of dps maybe wider coverage.
Battleship strikes we're talking about wiping out entire divisions of hostile infantry probably an area larger than the table top in platue map and there wouldnt be any ground soldier able to survive it
Dreadnaught Strikes would be gaurantee alot of things die. Its going to be much harder to avoid friendly fire with these.
A strike from a Titan we're talking armageddeon. Everything on the map DIES, This includes any and every building the map had built on it. As goonswarm would say "We didnt what that planet anyways."
great info... That clears a bunch of things up for me for sure...!
