He gave a tsk before eye-balling the researcher with his cybernetic eyes. "S-sir, I mean't... No offense... I just wanted the suit t-to be recognizable." The researcher said in a panicked tone. "Oh, it is. From a kilometer away through the scope of a sniper." Aeon replied, sourly. The clone-soldier gestured to the melted hole in his breast-plate with a grimace, shaking his head. "Find someone that can replace this. The object of keeping a low-profile is -not- to be seen. Pay them whatever it takes." Design a Skin Challenge Rules: Your submission -MUST- fit within the theme of New Eden, Eve Online, and/or Dust 514. As awesome as it would be, no playboy model camos will be considered. Try to take this seriously, gents. Your submission -MUST NOT- be a skin that already exists in either Dust 514 or Eve Online. Your skin will be on display. Don't send it in if you don't want the world to see it (though I can't imagine why wouldn't). You understand, full and well, that this is a community challenge and the skin is likely not going to make it into the game unless CCP wants to make it so. Your submission -MUST- be in a 500x500 pixel PNG format to be considered for submission. Your submission -MUST- be sent to '[email protected]' by the submission deadline to be considered. Limited to one (1) submission per participant. Make it count. Deadline for submissions is no later than server downtime on 11:00 UTC - Thursday, May 28th, 2015. Victor will be decided by community majority vote in a poll thread after one week from submission deadline (11:00 UTC - Thursday, June 4th, 2015). Rules subject to change at my discretion in the eventuality that silliness starts up. I fully reserve the right to cancel this challenge for the same reason (it's my money on the line, deal with it). Prizes: One (1) $50 Aurum Card from Gamestop worth 100,000 Aurum. Potentially more if anyone else decides to chime in with prizes. I'd like for the winner to be able to buy all eight skins available on the market. Templates By no means required, these are templates that I designed in GIMP to allow everyone to participate regardless of artistic skill and am willing to share them with instructions on how to color them. It's pretty simple to do with some software and I can post another tutorial on how to do it if need be. Some of these were actually taken and inspired from old defunct camouflage patterns used around the world and modified using a crystal fractal pattern and hue adjustment. I figured out if you mess with the saturation enough you can make the grain stand out without making the colors appear too unnatural. Ergo, some of them actually are edited from pictures of fabric.
