As the title says, we're just after some love.
Being that I've searched high, low, left, right, on top and beneath for information in regards to Sovereignty Warfare... I make this one appeal to you, the people who chose us for this test, to answer these few simple questions without the accurate, but rather infuriating SOON (TM).
What is thge process of Conquering a District?
Is there planned bonuses for controlling a planet, rather than a single district?
If you control 7 of a planet's districts, and an opposing force controls 13, who gets to determine what EVE players can have PI there?
Is there any actual value in 'controlling' a planet which will actually cause DUST514 Mercs to have leverage over EVE players?
Can you 'walk' around your owned, or NPC owned Districts for IMMERSION'S Sake?
Will you be giving PI control to DUST Mercs?
Will you give Lunar Harvesting a marginal control or full control to DUST Mercs?
Can you actually build persistent defences to defend your Districts should you be unable to defend against an attack? (Ie. like POS Guns.)
Will we have destructable environments? If so, how will they fit into persistent worlds, as eventually a fought over piece of land will become a war torm flat expanse?
Will Dropships actually BE useful? (ie. removing the free LAV, or objectives that can only be reached by Dropships.)
There are alot more questions I have firing around in my head... and I do mean alot... can you at least throw us a bone, and not SOON (TM).
Kind regards, JAXX
EDIT: One last question...
How will campaigns to take over a planet be conducted?
Make that two...
And is there a lock-out mechanisim to prevent all your DIstricts being attacked, then attacked , then attacked, then attacked again and again, and again (etc. so on and so forth.)? |

Well I don't have high hopes about getting more info, CCP seems to keep this stuff close to it's chest, here is a bump and a hope for some answer. |

Bump from me, and a few comments. I expect districts to be conquered by completing either Skirmish or a combination of modes. One of the trailers shows districts as Slay-like hexagons over the planet, so i hope the planetary conquest behaves like that in regards to cutting off (with PG/CPU instead of money) sections to make certain districts more manageable. I hope PI is governed by whoever owns the district you plop it down in, including taxes. This would add a resource dynamic, which would affect the ISK amounts corps contract for "rich" areas of planets. As for your static JIC installations, i would expect defenders to be able to set the district to automatically place a defense contract for a listed ISK amount. This would also allow DUST corps to pick up a wider variety of contracts at any given time (the war never stops in EVE). |

I'm also really looking for some answers, but here is some speculation as to the lockout system you are asking about (cause I also think it would be unfair for a group to be able to just hire mercs to attack all your planets at once) I think they should have it in a way that in order to get to the more inner bases or planets (in case you own your own solar system) that they would have to gain a foothold somewhere and work from there. I think that would be way better than just simply allowing them to hire contracts for your planet's capitol. |

I see where you're coming from, however...
Realitsitcally, they're attacking from Space. They will likely be able to attack any district from orbit.
What I was speculating is a system like this:
Corp - Special514 holds E-RPGR II's 20 Districts. They have control over a rich source of Material A-967.
Corp - NotSoSpecial513 wants this rich planet of A-967. They declare a 'campaign' against Special514's planet. A period not less than 24 hours before the campaign begins.
At the declared time, the 'Campaign' begins and NotSoSpecial513's Warbarge(s) jump into low orbit around E-RPGR II. From here, NotSoSpecial513 can declare and immediately beguin an attack on any of Special514's controlled districts. A battle occurs, the winner now controls the district, and that district is now 'locked' for the duration of that campaign.
Another 19 battles later, NotSoSpecial controls 6 of the 20 Districts, including one of the richest source districts of A-967. The planet is now classified 'Contested' and any bonuses for controlling the entire planet are removed, and a penalty is placed upon the extraction of A-967.
After 24 hours, either NotSoSpecial513, or Special514 can declare another campaign to attack the other. Opening up the campaign once again, and opening all Districts up for attack again.
This can continue until either claims complete domination of the planet, or a treaty is signed that removes the penalty, but doesn't grant the bonuses.
Just my idea.
EDIT:
Honestly, I'm waiting for the ever annoying.
