Scanners are annoying, as crap, i dont like the message. But ive found a few counters for them. Bringing the right tool/fit to the job.
1) Speed-Tanking.
If you want to close the gap between you and the scannerer, or just avoid them all together speed and stamina is your friend. Works best on Min scouts cause of Olympian stamina regen and best synergy with biotics, which doubles as being really fun to run. Or you can just use it to get uplinks down the fastest since thats the most common use.
Fit i use
Mk.0 light frame explained
Ishukone knives
Toxin SMG
Three basic shield extenders
Fluxes
N-11 Flux uplinks
P13 Quantum uplinks
One complex cardiac
Two complex kin cats
Why? Has 16 bandwith which means i can place all four uplinks down instead of three, has same speed and stamina regen and stats as the min scout, half the price of min scout Mk.0, and i accidentally skiled into it but it works out.
With this i can avoid scanners cause of how fast & far i can run in the other direction. And if i do get scanned i dont get caught cause of said speed & stamina.
2) Dampening
If you prefer to get under the scans dampening, usually the gallente scout can get under them. If you want to avoid the cost of a PROTO gallente scout, heres what you can do. Grab any gallente scout and put three complex dampeners in your lows. You'll be slow, squishy, very squishy, but you'll avoid the toughest scans. Pair this with a armor based weapon you can chew through the scannerer from a distance without the threat of scans.

So all you need is a point into gallente scout, and 5 in dampening. If you dont mind the cost of PROTO gallente scout,
Gk.0
Three complex dampening
One complex kin cat
Two complex shields
Creodron shotty
Boundless SMG
Fluxes
F/45 REs
Now you have some tank, some speed, and avoid scanners.
3) If your an assault/heavy/logi? dont try.
You can put more use of the slots cause you wont avoid much anyway, the only thing you'll be is a dead assault. Regen, repair, tank, speed, are much more useful then something that wont work anyway and you'll be a squishy assault which is a dead one. As fun as it may be it wont work most of the time.
4) Skill into it yourself
Yeah cause that will actually counter something instead of just following the crowd then it'll be your crutch and blah blah blah whatever.
5) Best option, DGASF
Run what you want have fun, the only time to REALLY get serious is if, Q-SYNC, PC, tough match, your extremely competitive, your serious all the time anyway so this is nothing new.
I might be missing a serious amount of crap just point it out cause if you act like somethings wrong with my post AND DONT SAY IT your wasting my time.

How... do you know this? I dont doubt you, i have a 'cutoff' point when im using PROTO, after a certain amount is lost im done with that suit time to switch to a cheaper one. I call that a skill what you do.
