Yes putting it PC will hurt the playerbase of dust as the game we will lose people who are console exclusive players.
Yes the playerbase will grow on PC and soon outshine the numbers we've seen on console.
Yes its the right thing to do for CCP as they are a PC focused company and that is there strong platform.
Yes its the right thing to do for the game. it will have constant updates on PC, features and connections to EVE that the console could only dream of and enough system resources to finally realise the gameplay concepts we saw in the 2013 trailer for dust
and that's basically it. there's nothing more to be discussed. a PS4 port would be the wrong move for the game, the company and most of the playerbase.

For many reasons, I believe the answer to this is "no". At least "no" until it's been out on the PC for a while. I get where you're coming from, but the way that i see it is, why not both??? You already have pc games playing at a pretty close level to pcs on new gen consoles. i.e: Bf4 64 player combat, TESO on consoles, Final Fantasy XIwhatever the hell there on now, etc etc. Add some crossplay feautures and bing ba daboom you got yourself a decent sized playerbase already.
They could do this but again the game would still need to be launched to PC first so CCP can have a test server and control content updates at the level they wish. this would however result in features the PC can handle being removed for a console patch. would it not hurt more to give console players half a game?
and would CCP even make money off of it?
