- Buff Energizers/Rechargers - Possibly buff base Dropsuit recharge across the board - Iron out damage/DPS on laser weaponry (you buffed it to handle up on the armor meta without thinking about what it'd do to shields???)
Don't try to homogenize shields with armor by increasing HP values, that's not what they're about - shields are about fast recharge and low down-times. Hallmark on this. Make it -worth- diving into cover for a few seconds after you pummel a few rounds into the enemy.

My bad, I forgot how dumb people can be when they read one thing in a post and miss the entire point of the rest of it. I'll try to do better next time.

CommanderBolt wrote:Just throwing this out there,
The whole Shields have less HP than Armour thing comes from EVE and just like in EVE, we have regen mods, repair mods etc...
However we are missing two key factors from EVE that helps keep shields and armour fairly balanced.
Resistance mods, (In EVE shields generally achieve higher resists compared to armour in exchange for less raw HP and less of a speed penalty, if any)
Shield transfer tools (A shield Repair tool variant essentially, most likely not identical to the armour stats)
Shield transporters will be useless because of the simple fact that if we buffed shield recharge modules the person you're trying to regen the shields of would have already been at full health by the time you got there.
Resistance modules are unnecessary at the moment. It's a cool concept but right now it'd just throw a pipewrench into balancing. People would just stack resistance modules against the weapons designed against their defense (armor/shields) and let the passive resistances handle the rest.

Is it too much to ask?... The threshold is a must. When Sgt Kirk advocates for buffing shields, you know theres a problem. Because the countless other threads I have asking for shield buffs and modules dont count because "I'm not a shield player" Hell, I dont even care for Passive Armor Regeneration.
Pretty much this. People see only what they want to see apparently. S'why you and I are always "Pro-Gallente" is because it's apparently too much to ask to click our names and search through our posts.
People don't even know I'm an Intaki Secessionist which is basically saying the Gallente Federation isn't worth having an entire bloodline.

I believe there should be a damage threshold for shields that is around 9-13 damage. Also, the buffs you stated, I think they will certainly do.
IMO, Caldari should be a pain in the ass to deal with just because you can't actually make them dead because of recovery rate.

Would you just admit that you won't be happy until it's impossible to viably armor tank so you can have your CoD knock-off?

Would you just admit that you won't be happy until it's impossible to viably armor tank so you can have your CoD knock-off? Not sure about all that, but I wouldn't mind a 'bit more loadout diversity. 9 of the Top 10 low-slot modules sold are brick-related. Have been since forever. Is the solution to that problem to make 9 of the Top 10 high-slot modules sold shield-related? I think not. I think there should be more to Dust than stacking different flavors of HP. But that's just my opinion.
