Recently I decided to skill into the Gallente logi dropsuits. I jumped in feet first and took it from 0 to V inside of a week. I have active scanners V, drop uplinks IV, nanocircuitry V. On my assault dropsuits I typically run drop uplinks and needles so I am fairly familiar with their use.
This logi business has me befuddled and I have a few questions.
I dislike the repair tool and would prefer to deploy armor repping nanohives instead. Is this at all viable or should I bite the bullet and grab a rep tool?
I enjoy the idea of being versatile so filling up every equipment slot with active scanners seems very silly. I would like to run just one scanner. Is this viable or it is carrying 2+ scanners an unwritten requirement for GalLogis?
Logistic dropsuits enjoy superior passive scans and I like the idea of being the squad's eyes. Can you realistically fit range extenders / precision enhancers or will the loss of eHP be too great?

A triage repair tool is very, very nice on gallogi's. I honestly prefer to use the 8 second, 90 degree 200m scanner on my alt, but I could see a case for the regular proto scanner, or duvolle quantum.
Highs: 2x CPLX precision 1x flex slot (Either a complex shield, or another complex precision)
Lows: 1x Cplx armor rep 1x Cplx armor plate 1x Cplx reactive plate 2x flex slots (you can use these for two range amps, which bumps your scan range up to 9.75/24.37/48.75 or you can fit another plate & repper if you want more EHP).
Weapon: TAC AR Grenade: Best flux you can fit (my preference tbh, you might get more use out of cores)
Wiyrkomi nanite injector Viziam Guaged Uplink Six Kin triage Rep tool Duvolle Quantum / Creodron Flux Scanner
3x complex precision amps (lets you see most scouts at 18.75m or less) or 2cplx precision amps + 1 shield extender (yay hp) lets you scan almost all medium frames in your full range (18.75-37.5) unless they're damped, a few scouts at 17.75m or less and everything under 7.5m.
The base fit I've provided is a bit low on EHP and movespeed but still has about 17.5hp/sec and 3 slots available for your choice in fitting options.
In short: If you have 4 equipment slots you should be fitting a rep tool. 2 scanners is not a requirement for gallogi's. Yes range extenders and precision amps are an option but they require some trades. Speaking as a player who ****ing loves passive scanning on my callogi with 2x precision & 2x range amps, or 3x precision amps on my amarr logi / gal logi alts they provide a lot of information to the squad they're in at the cost of EHP.

Screw the rep tool !!!
Scanners and uplinks are what you you should focus on. To mix it up, run compact nanohives and REs with them.
In PC matches I recommend you run no less than 2 proto scanners and fit proto links in the other slots. I have one loadout that I use a lot which runs permascans in all directions with 4 proto scanners. Sometimes it seems I can keep up scans with 3 though.
You can sacrifice ehp for ewar. Scanning is a scout-like function so you can play up on it. I fit at least one dampener when in the city so I am somewhat stealthy while lighting up reds and maintaining spawn points, staying at the edges of battle. Add range and precision enhancers to it and boost your shared passive scans; what could be more gallogi-like than boosted scans? Add a cat and the upcoming logi speed boost and now you have a recon logi.
When I defend outside points I fit up with reps and armor and spam scans. Being in the open makes me want more ehp so I don't fit for ewar in these occasions.
In pubs run with one scanner and one uplink. Fill the rest to fit your mood.
