HMGs were nerfed based on their k/s performance in PC, now whilst I don't agree they were overpowered, instead of nerfing the weapon I would suggest changing the heavy suit abilities so that they can no longer hack null cannons/installations
This would reinforce their point defense role, ensuring the HMG is to be feared and help non brute force tactics such as the min speed hack

If this idea was implemented Sentinels would only be able to get War Points through killing.
- If Sentinels killed enough to compete with other classes on WP, the community would rage and cry for nerfs.
- If Sentinels killed only slightly more than Assaults, they would lag far behind on WP.
I am not necessarily against the idea in principle, but the WP discrepancy issue would have to be considered, particularly since the Skill Points and ISK you earn is largely dependent on the WP you earn in a match.
Hand/Eye coordination cannot be taught. For everything else there is the Learning Coalition.

only problem is when they nerfd the hmg it made the amar sent top dog. lower damage 'higher heat'less range but amar keep its high ehp and 15% resistance to it . mm heavy needs a heat reduction to counter balance to the amar sent . cause scrambler resistance is shi,t when its does over 120 damage with 10% resistance that dont work half the time. and its labeled wrong cause its 20% vs a darths . tested it vs 1 shot |

Sentinels were OP. They had been that way for a very long time, and were eventually nerfed.
Now, they are balanced, and with the AHMG, quite competitive in most situations.

That would be like making it so scouts couldn't carry weapons so that they could ONLY hack/recon....
Also, Sents generate little in the way of WP as it is...how would they make that up with no equipment? |

No hacking? No, too far. A (small) base backing speed reduction? Yeah, I could see that. Something small like the in-built Scout bonus (1.05, iirc) as a negative (0.95) for Sentinels would mean they are the least suited to hacking and most suited to defensing the hackers.

Guess the Sentinels I've seen have been the exception. Seen Gal, Min and even Cal Sentinels take on equal tier Amarr Sentinels and win.
