What are your thoughts on the price of the LP APEX and LP SKINs?
Personally, a skin shouldn't be worth equal to a suit complete with BPOs. Arguments compiled here.
Here is a poll to get a general idea of support.
Don't base your vote on the lowest price, but rather something that's not a freebie and has an acceptable price margin.
I sometimes fill my bathtub with Jell-o, then I proceed to curl up and pretend I'm a fetus.

Both rarity and a stimulus for sales of FacWar boosters are fine with me.
You can build LP very fast when you stack three 1 day boosters. CCP already gave you one for each race with the last newsletter.

There are price points that would allow the SKINs to be rare while not making the grind insane. That is my point. 50k LP is still an achievement and not something you can earn in a month of casual play. It would be a balance between challenging and worth it.

Lower the price.
Add 3 skins for each faction that all have one glaring difference and have them be awarded for free at 3 different standings levels, the final being 10 of course. Do not allow these to be traded.
^^^ This will bring on immersion. Pay up to rep your faction or grind, grind, grind to show your loyalty. |

50k LP's seems way more agreeable.
As Ripley pointed out; it's still challenging. Just not insanely so.

What about tiered skins? As in a 25k skin, a 50k skin, and a 100k skin? Though I imagine that's only really work if you could sell back your skin for the same LP towards your next tier.
Giving it more thought, they shouldn't cost anything at all but unlocked at certain faction loyalty ranks.

A month and a half and I just hit 70k LP. Although I tend to solo AFW as I'm time limited in the mornings.

Just edited. Would be better if they had at least the per faction per frame and unlocked at various ranks (say 3, 7, 10). Unlocked as in simply granted for free. Non tradable.

Apex prices are okay because they're actually worthwhile to grind and can be used to get those currencies back.
Skins on the other hand... Way too pricy for what they actually do, rare or not.

Here are my feels on the situation.
Personally, I don't think an APEX and SKINs are of the same value, however It will be the market that decides that. If they sell, then that's what they're worth.
The AUR price tag is steep, but I actually don't mind paying it at all, for the fact that Dust is a game that continually produces FREE content. I don't see it just as getting a SKIN for $12, but rather helping to keep this game going as well.
My problem is with the LP SKINs. I don't think at all that 1 SKIN = 1 APEX suit. I do agree that SKINs should be rare however, so here is my solution.
Tiers of LP SKINs.
Each faction should have different Tiers of SKIN, with scaled pricing.
EXAMPLE
Level 1 Skin: 25,000 LP + 1,000,000 ISK (Minimum faction rank 3 to equip)
Level 2 Skin: 50,000 LP + 5,000,000 ISK (Minimum faction rank 6 to equip)
Level 3 Skin: 100,000 LP + 10,000,000 ISK (Minimum Faction rank 10 to equip)
This would make SKINs rare, but make the good ones even rarer. Also give a lot to strive for in FW. As an added bonus, people have been asking for faction ranks for forever. While not quite that, showing off these suits that only high ranking FW members can wear would be cool.
