It was never "meant" to work this way, rather it was a broken error that got considered a "feature" by players.
They were meant to deploy to different games, but since it catches requests in the order they come in, Queue synching became a thing.

Why do you believe this? Prior to the current match maker we actually have players able to select specific generated FW battles. I'd argue based upon that that our FW game mode was specifically for grouped players and it has been bastardised by whining pricks like the OP from something that was a fantastically competitive game mode that corporations regularly participated in.
