PS. Good luck getting any sort of match when half the player base can't play for 20 hrs. Maybe just firebomb the server if you want to kill the game some more. no,they have their reasons for leaving, you should respect that. You have completely missed the point of both the OP and you are apparently uncomprehending of sarcasm. GG The reason I say this i s as follows: A.imagine starting a battle when suddenly you have to leave to do chores or other responsibilities, you would have to quit the match immediately, and if your solution were to be implemented by ccp,it would cause players unable to play, which would hurt the game and CCP when they come to find that all the players have left the game, would hurt ccp's investment, and could lead to a lawsuit against the person who suggested it,that's exactly why it is a very very bad idea, and that's why I said "no,they have their own reasons for leaving the battle, and that you should respect that" B.Protostomping and redlining:you shouldn't expect them to waist their isk restocking a fit that costs 5-10 mil for 100 fits each,if they get redline by full proto gear, and dye every time they spawn in their zone, they have the right to leave battle to prevent massive dropsuit/isk losses,if you do PC regularly, you can afford it,most players aren't in PC however,so they are poor, unless you have an APEX suit, don't expect them to put this solution out their.
Remember to think about the consequences in an update before you post a solution(no disrespect intended to the anyone in this quote.)

If youre removed from DMQ, you can still play in public contracts, FW, and PC.
The idea is just a way to encourage people to stay, and builds a queue around players who actually stay and fight. Scotty would need a buff though to keep people from being dropped right as the game starts.
I have no sympathy for those leaving for responsibilities, if thy cant manage their time thy shouldnt queue for matches that require you to stay. They can join and leave the DMQ any time before or after a match.
If youre too afraid to fight, the DMQ is not for you

C.it would force players that are poor into not being able to leave the game, and then being unable to play battles for 20+ hrs, especially new players, and would elevate the current situation for protostomping/redlining,as this would give protostompers and redliners the "The key to a door into dark territory best left locked forever" into which it would prompt an new form of protostomping,"Protobullying" in which they could exploit this solution to harass new players into leaving the game completely, which would hurt CCP games(refer to A.) If youre too afraid to fight, the DMQ is not for you I respect the no sympathy part, but as far as the isk fees and 20+ hour limit,I see this as a *bullet to the head for the game*,and as far as I can tell their is no practical solution that won't destroy the game, but on a positive note I think I finally found a solution to redlining, thou you might not like it. Here it is: If a player on the opposing team (and vice-Versa)kills someone outside the redline(not inside the redline,as their is already a timer)he/she will receive a warning for the first offense with 25% reduction to isk/LP/SP Payouts, and for the second offense, get kicked from battle, with no rewards, but opposing team gets the 25% that player lost when they got kicked and goes to the players they killed,to prevent an exploit for this both teams are invincible for 25s when the match first starts ( to prevent people that use labs/dropships to get into position quickly to your spawn point to start redlining you at beginning of game),and to counter spawn sniping/camping behind your redline all long range weapons are ineffective while behind their own redline for the first 5min of game and after this time is up,long range weapons receive a 50% decrease to damage while behind redline(only applies to long range weapons),Proto or not,and if no team members are left in the opposing team if they all participated in redlining an got kicked, the battle ends automatically if no one joins the match after 2-4 minutes and the team that was redlined gets the sp/lp/isk for however many kills they made against the redlining team(to prevent cheating)
