I have never used a hardener on an ADS, shield or armor. Not even back when they were 60%. Too long of a cool down for not enough benefit.
I went 13-0 second game after a month hiatus. Haven't lost a single dropship aside from situations I knew I really shouldn't be in.
Not to say things couldn't be better, but ADSs are far from unusable.
Dust is there! I was real!

Not to say things couldn't be better, but ADSs are far from unusable. Pythons are literally the entire reason I fly AV incubus 95% of the time. No farming when im around Lol, and believe me I'd rather engage in a good Air-to-Air fight than shoot a bunch of helpless people on the ground.
That was a bit of an exception though, as there was hardly any AV about. But still, even with AV out it only denies me a lot of kills rather than killing me. Only losses I've had are from me sticking my nose too far in where I know I shouldn't or stupid things like me running into something.
In my opinion, AV to ADS damage seems about right. I'm still not happy with swarms being so user-friendly for their damage, but I'm having a hard time thinking of a good change for them.
Really though, the best thing we could give ADSs (and vehicles in general) is an early warning system that shows where nearby (<100-150m) threats are coming from, and how many there are. My idea being a special chevron placed over the heads of AV taking an offensive actions (locking swarms/charging PLC and forge) against a vehicle within 100-150m, visible only to the pilot (maybe gunners/passengers), and persisting for 5-10s after the action is released.
@Savage
Rail Incubus beats any Python fit any day of the week, hardeners or no it's just a matter of time. I always recall my Python when I see a rail Incubus (and promptly pull out my rail Incubus ).
