I think this should be simple enough to be implemented easily as is a mid-step to giving money but I think this has been suggested before. Let's say I get tired of a sniper, protostomper, or any other player in match who had killed me multiple times. I go to the match player list, click their name, select an option like to "Add Bounty" that opens a dialog similar to Give Money, select amount, confirm, and head back in game. A notification is then displayed in the feed to all players that there is active bounty for the selected character. Whoever kills that player next (one kill per bounty) would get the bounty amount set from my wallet. This could add a whole new dynamic to the game especially if you select someone on your team in pubs or select an enemy in FW where friendly fire is in play.

I guess this was discussed previously: In Match Bounty's In this age of DUST, we need to strive for simple if a new feature has any chance of being implemented. Hence, my idea on match bounties.

Found another: Idea for Dust Bounty system This proves there is obviously a want for such a feature. I think there just has to be enough support for CCP to take notice.

Quote:i put a 2 mill bounty on you, you and your friend join a factional in a free suit, friend kills you, gets bounty, split both ways, jokes on me. Ever idea as good as this one needs an exploit free way of working or its broken. I'd love to say you know what boom i put 5 mill on your main and every battle you join your marked as a high value target, or even have the biggest price on my own head but its being able to do it without some fool trying to exploit the way it opperates. Sadly theres to many special cases with too much free time on there hands. The bounty I am requesting is during match. If the targeted person leaves match, the bounty will not long be an active in match bounty. You can't really exploit something actively going on as you don't even know if someone will put a bounty on you in match. Now in faction, a targeted player could go to a supply depot, switch to free suit, and then have a friend on the same team kill them to split the ISK but that would not really be a problem in pub matches. Plus, I am not sure how many would go through the trouble to take a bounty themselves especially with a chosen few intensely caring about their KDR. Plus, there's no guarantee the targeted player will survive the trip to a supply depot to do such.

I rather have players put up amounts they set for for other players. Besides, the simpler it is, the more of a chance of getting coded.

I updated the description to be a little more obvious.

Maybe bounties should only be available in non-friendly fire modes (all pub matches) for simplicity. Still, if I were CCP and there was a heavily requested feature, I would simply code it to cover the biggest exploits (already discussed in previous posts) and see how players use it to tweak from there if needed.

As stated, I think simplicity would be best. Plus, in EVE you get logs to check for amounts but in DUST you don't (besides simple amounts) so that is why it is best to keep it simple where mercs don't need to question if they received the right bounty amount or not.
