I should do this more often and have never given this thought , I guess since I'm a logi by trade I'm thinking about reps but I might give this a try .

Or maybe they could bring back the warbarge pre-deployment and allow 1:30 to 2 mins for RANDOM players to create squads and mix and mingle . Kill the que's and ready made stomp squads in skirmish and make them more like a pub ( Public = Random ) should be so that they can't be taken advantage of ... out of 16 players , 4 pro players or players with high MU scores , 4 adv players with middle of the pack MU scores and 8 lower MU or out of the academy players ... time allowed to create squads and give them a MU cap of X amount somewhat like the meta total of infantry fits , so that all the better players can't all squad with each other while on the same team and promoting diversity of ranks in squads with the better players " schooling " the weaker players but having even teams more or less to account with the set up implemented .
This way the better players can help the weaker or newer players understand the mechanics of the game , com with them to teach them the ways of combat and prob corp promoting as well .
Pubs should be random players ... no que's or ready made stomp / same corp squads .
FW should be merged with ACQ
Dom and Ambush should stay as is

when I cam back I was sooo disapointed in it being gone. You get a quick flash of it, that's it.. like wtf
we used to use that , form squads , get loners in by saying zMORE WP , big boom from the sky splosions.. and it worked.
would also have time to realize your opponent, and if you knew them well..you could know what they like to do, and formulate a plan.. yes, even in that 2 min.. but now, nope.. into the slaughter you go
IKR , I loved that about the game and one of the reason that after the change I spammed FW until I kept getting TK almost every match .
I loved the warbarge but if I remember correctly they got rid of it because people were complaining about not being able to jump right into matches but those who complained  didn't understand how that time helped pre-deployment in all the ways like you mentioned ... and some humping didn't hurt anyone either  .
