There should be mercenaries
Obviously the entire team should not be ringers but ringers should exist.
If ringers are gone then I might as well join an alliance and permanently ring for them along with everyone else. Form a blue donut and harm PC even more, that is what this alliance only garbage idea is.
Either A, let ringers stay but limit how many ringers can be on a team which I proposed to Ratati a while ago.
or B, have most ringers who are close friends join alliances thus leading to the current situation but with tags. Except they cannot ring at all which starts leading towards a blue donut of corps.
Looking at the tags of the people being anti ringing, your idea harms you badly. Currently you can get ringers but if your idea comes out then you will fight ringers even more because they will then have the tags of the alliance you are fighting. Oh and you would not be able to get good ringers too because the good ringers ring for friends or because of boredom, not people who QQ often.
If ringing is gone or this contract crap happens then expect the giant alliances that hold everything to occur. After all, you are forcing everyone to choose a side which is against the concept of the game and even Eve.

After all, you are forcing everyone to choose a side which is against the concept of the game and even Eve. It's easy for me to apply to any already beast corp, but then who would you guys ring against? What you're saying is the "care-bear" mentality is the problem? I get what you're saying for smaller corps like ours, but that won't necessarily change regardless of the outcome. We fight them now already just like that?! What would you suggest that would actually change this? In your words what would be the best thing for smaller corps that haven't "got gud" yet? Currently, ringers ring for whoever they want. Limiting that forces them to choose a side which buffs heavily whoever gets the ringers while harming everyone else who does not get them.
I proposed something to Ratati about a system that limits how many people can be fielded. Up to 16 corp members can be in it, only around 8 alliance members, and only like 3 ringers. So the most non corp teams would have 3 ringers, 8 alliance, and 5 corp. Good ringers will still have business, an alliance can help a lot, and the corp who the PC belongs to cannot rely on the other two groups to do all the work because 5 corp members will be in it and if they do not do much, that is 5 people being deadweight.
