How old is your ps3 system?the older your system is,the less performance you have as it ages,I've had to reinstall firmware twice, the original HDD because my HDD circuit board bit the dust,had extra 250gb HDD I saved just in case,now I have 2 HDD left,one 120 GB,and another 250gb,electronics components slow down and become less efficient as they age,for instance,your CPU may start out fast when new,but as it ages with continued use,it becomes slower,eventually it will reach the end of its component life and "Break".nothing last forever.

Also ps3 is harder to work with when coding,i thinkk some bugs cant be fixed while its on the ps3 platform,that's why they need to move dust to PC,because its scalable,meaning its easier to fix,and not as many bugs,that's why when project legion comes out,and ps3 is shut off the psn permanently, I'm switching to PC,if legion comes out,either way,dust will eventually have to be shut down when the ps3 is removed from psn,that's the problem with consoles,they don't last forever,eventually they become obsolete.
