Last Stand at Outpost Gallant
//Sosan IV: "Rhamesh" District - 1642 Hours
Responding to the garbled distress calls originating from a small Carthum Conglomerate R&D facility conduction weapons testing in the Devoid Region a small company of PCLAS operatives supported by an auxiliary command from former allies the Dead Six Initiative deployed hastily to the planet to find the compound beset by Matari guerilla fighters.
After identifying the enemy forces as an organised command of Ready to Play augmented with a small free company of Outer Heaven and OSG Planetary Operations I made the decision to deploy the squad to Outpost Gallant, designated Objective Delta by TacNet support, taking command of the squad as Aero's vocal processors were on the fritz.
Our squad deployed to the Outpost and rapidly fortified the double layer structure, claiming the Supply Depot and ensuring correct placement of Orbital Drop Uplinks and Nanohives, as the main body of Imperial Guard rushed into the compound to secure the facility staff and delay the encroaching Matari forces. Unable to hold the line against the aggressive two pronged assault of the Matari our forces fell back along the main road and took a defensive position harassing their flanks in attempt to draw attention away from the fleeing civilians.
With complete control over the Carthum headquarters the Ready to Play elements pressed on towards Outpost Gallant supported by a Madrugar Gk.0 to lay siege to our force of four men.
Initially suppressed by the withering fire of the the HAV we were beset from all sides and were forced into a defensive stance as fast moving skirmishers closed the distance on our fortifications leaping the barricades on myofibral enhanced legs. However as they entered the fortifications there were greeted by a staunch defence against which they found no purchase, being unable to press their assault up the main stair case to the command computer.
Denied the Supply Depot, due to concentrated fire by the HAV, and the majority of our cover subsequent assaults took the form of swift moving saboteurs attempting to deny us our Orbital Drop Uplinks, using flux weaponry and remote explosives,which served well enough to allow a second assault to press us back to the heart of Gallant. Despite this we rallied enough to maintain a hold on the Outpost and threw back the Tribal Commando's.
By this point our TacNet support was already relaying us horrific news of complete rout along the flanks where our mercenary elements had suffered horrific losses allowing the Matari to divert more forces to the siege. The battle was soon joined by the Outer Heaven and OSG Planetary Operations personnel and our hold on the Outpost became ever more tenuous as each assault gained ground where the others had failed.
Our final stand was short lived however in doing so were annihilated to the man in a particularly brutal short ranged fire fight and relocated to our sole remaining CRU in Gallant's sister facility,the aptly named Outpost Spiteful, which was immediately beset in much the same manner as the fallen Gallant. Unable to secure a defensive position we responded by counter-attacking the first OSG and Outer Heaven soldiers infesting the lower levels.
As the Bio-Mass cleared from the battlefield, having coated the Outposts in a thin, dusty film, our force pulled back to the emergency dropship landing zone where we were, to our great relief, informed that the surviving scientists had been safely evacuated and were en route to the Mehatoor 24th Imperial Crusade Logistics Support Station at the edge of the warzone for corporate reassignment.

Ooooh oooh you'll like this one then. Y'know the Gallente Communication Hub Medium Socket......that closed off section where objective A usually is?
I ramped a Madrugar off of another Madrugar and managed to get stuck in the little foyer area by the gate. Our Sync was laughing so hard as well killed off the other teams FW players who were trying so hard to win it wasn't funny.
