Dust is in a really good spot right now.
Lots of cool stuff just came out, lots of cool stuff officially announced and in the works.
I want to see it all happen, and I want this game to succeed.
So when I get home I'm gonna throw $10 at CCP and probably buy one of the new SKINS, as long as I can find out what they look like first.
The one thing that will determine this games success is its profit margin. CCP is a business, and they're not gonna continue this game if it loses too much money, so I'm gonna buy some stuff to help it succeed. I think everyone here should consider the same thing.
Especially if you've never bought anything.
Also, I really don't think the $10 SKINS are that bad of a deal when you considering the amount of free content we've gotten in the last few months.
Let's make this game a success!

No seriously, Dust is worth spending a few bucks on. SKINs being $10 is shite though. Drop the price and I'll own the whole lot of them.

The only thing worth buying are combat packs. The skins are over priced.

I got my brother hooked on this game 4 months ago. With casual afternoon play and a 20$ dose of AUR, he is Loyalty rank V.
With the release of trading, and all these players complaints of being on 2+ years and being rank 3. I am amazed dust is still up and running.
I am now truly proud to see 'Colonel" Devadander [weapon of the state] AnyOleRedberry in the killfeed.

I don't find the SKINS too expensive....but I do feel like they should be like DVD's
Eventually wind up in the bargain bin when the new better ones come out....so the skins for $10 today would be $3-5 in a year

Day 1 price: $10
Day 30 price: $7
Day 60 price: $5
And so on until they are $2 or something. Alternatively, CCP could do sales for a week where a specific SKIN is 50% or more off. I would be okay with either system.

We've gotten more FREE content from CCP than Battlefield players get for buying Premium, and we're getting more.
All things considered, I don't mind the $10 SKINS at all. I see that $10 as going towards all the FREE future content we're all going to get from here out.

When Full Trading Comes out I'll be throwing down a few bucks. not willing to pay that much for skins though.

I think they could do with changing existing packs, the merc one for example went from dragonfly scout and smg to assault and ar. I have both (the 1st one multiple times as have many vets) and it's a great deal but I've no incentive to buy it anymore.
I was expecting it to continue with the other two original suits but it went back to the scout bpo. If they brought them out I'd buy both.
I want to contribute more to this game as despite it's many, many flaws I still love it but skins and warbarge components don't interest me |
