Considering that, as it seems to be, a lot of matches in FW or Skirmish are gained by Squads organized (or who tried to be organized) what about add (if possible and as a option) a Auto Squad, considering the team's players main way to play so it can be as paired as possible?
Example, a experienced GalLogi may squad up with some scouts (if the GalLogi is used to carry one or more scanners to give intel upon a given a point) or with one or two heavies (depending on which repair tool is carrying, if is carrying any) or 2 Assaults + a Logi and a MinScout (so the scout hack the point, with both Assaults and Logi providing protection) or 2 Commandos + 1 Heavy and 1 Logi to defend some point... |

Organisation requires more than just being in a squad.
You cannot expect the moronic masses to follow simple logical instructions this easily.

I believe closed beta already had auto-squads, so it should be easy to put back in. Worst case scenario, the squad leader didn't know they were a squad leader.

Yeah but you still have self righteous prick telling you to push across open ground and bridges towards a letter cursing at you because their tank was blind sided by a Tiger H1 500m away in hard cover.
Random Squadding doesn't imply organisation as the members will continue to **** around doing whatever they want.

I know that is not that simple to organize, but as stated is better than nothing.
Also, if possible this could be done as: - The merc needs to go to the Squad order point (defend, capture, rally...) - The mercs needs to stick together
If not followed any of this the merc could have late penalties for "not helping the squad in it's mission/put the squad in danger" (imagine a MinLogi, supposed to repair the Heavies, standing far away as if it was a Assault? this could put all in a problem right?)
Of course, this is just something intended to help the mercs staying together and creating a more probable "good" squad.
What would you like to put so this could work? Considering the way the players play and how they could help each other.. |
