I don't retreat as much as I consider the tactical merit of me standing and fighting, am I protecting a valuble uplink, waiting for reinforcement? I may chalk up a clone to allow my team positional advantage. I may bait and switch for my scouts on the flank, giving up a clone to down a squad with tunnel vision. I can't consider it cowardly unless someone runs all the way to the redline, switches to a mlt suit and hides the rest of the match...
Sometimes there is just a better way to do things than throw yourself in front of a truck.

Sometimes there is just a better way to do things than throw yourself in front of a truck. You 2 clearly haven't played Dust long enough to understand that most blueberries are capable of ******* up finishing off a red with 2 armor hp left.
Yeah I've only been playing Dust since.... June 2012 or something. ..

Your initial post didnt mention the new mode. So no, I didn't think to factor in the 1 mode that doesn't have a clone count. you're using 25% of the game as your basis for comparison? Shoddy.
Edit: but since you are talking about that mode specifically, I still wouldn't probably just rush in with my dxck out. There is always a better tactical solution to breaking an enemy siege line, or if they are dug in to a single bunker or holding a single point.
