I'm all for it, and there is a way to implement it now with the community's help!
To quote myself from that thread:
Jonny D Buelle wrote:There is a way we can implement this now without CCP putting a system in of course it will be forum based.
First we create a Master Post in which a member of the community acts as a bounty broker.
Player replies to post and gives isk for bounty+broker fee to the broker. Broker then posts details in the master thread.
To collect bounties, we require proof a kill. So a video or a picture of the killfeed will be enough.
Broker then sends ISK to the player the claimed the bounty. And removes the name from the list.
Rinse, Lather, Repeat.
I know this is will be a pain to collect the bounty but the way I see it, if CCP can't give us this feature in the near future, I say we make it ourselves!
I think it is possible.

Damn straight it will be fun, and it will give players something else to do in the game other than trade, fight for a faction or themselves, or boost their kd/r

DiablosMajora wrote:Somewhat more difficult to effectively implement in a game where you already die... a lot. Compared to EVE, people have fittings that range in the hundreds of millions to billions of isk, and a SINGLE death can be catastrophic to them. Now, if we had something that could inflict a close amount of pain I'd be all for it. Possible examples include: destroying personal or corp districts outside of PC, raiding or destroying warbarges, or a slow game of attrition by inflicting more losses on your opponents.
(I want my own personal district, both to explore and do some timely drone pest control :c)
If the gear inflation that I predict does indeed come, then sure dying could end up being quite painful. Something like a bounty on a corp's district(s) might be better suited for now, but at the present it just doesn't seem there is a big enough knife to jam under an individual person's fingernail.
Maybe the bounty system can work and keep them in there for X amount of kills.
How this works for player created bounty is that the amount given to the broker will be divided among the bounter hunters who claim the kill. For example if 3 players killed a target with a 5 bounty on him. Then they each will received a fifth of the reward. This will also allow a player to collect multiple rewards from one bounty in one match.
Edit: Proof of kill is required of course.
Edit 2: forgot to add that with my example, 2 fifths of the bounty will be left.

How about people can pay others to track for them. In the non CCP Support one. Or trackers take a cut from the bouny itself when collected.
The reasoning is that bounty hunters in the no CCP support will have difficult time posting proof of kills in some matches unless constantly recording the match. So instead they post location time etc and get a small cut of the bounty.
Time must be EVE time.
This will also mean that some people can become dedicated trackers and get paid that way. Hell I wouldn't mind being a tracker.
However Trackers should only get paid if the bounty is taken out within an hour of them posting the info. This way it insures a decent payout for the hunter.

Just thought of a fair payment system for no CCP Support Bounties:
Dedicated Broker is given the ISK for the bounty to hold onto. When bounty is completed, the broker keeps 10% of the bounty, the most recent tracker of the bounty gets 20% and the bounty hunter gets 70%.
Reason why the broker gets the smallest percentage is because they (in theory) will have multiple bounties to look after and will be making more than the trackers (which will be very competitive). Hunters get the most only because they were the ones who completed the bounty.
A tracker can complete the bounty if they choose (and provide proof), with the same conditions (see hunters pay)
If a Hunter completes the bounty without a tracker (no tracker posts on the bounty target) they get the full 90%.
Hunters can also choose to tip the broker or the tacker if they want to be kind.

Hmm that also will work, someone who has a good rep in dust or eve can be the broker. added to OP, you're the only one really keeping this thread alive but I love your ideas. Add me in game bro xD, lets try to keep this thread open.
I love this idea and want to see it work. I've always been a huge fan of player made events and features in games.
I can't get to the game at the moment, but as soon as I can I'll send you a message in game.
I do think we (as a community) can make this work.

I know there are people out there that do want this, we just got to keep trying, hell if it means we do it ourselves then we do it!
