JJ'S wrote:60 bux and they are golden. Just thought I'd mention... it takes roughly $20 to go from 0 loyalty experience to loyalty rank 4. It's been tested. If you are already rank 1 or 2 then it will take even less than that.
And yeah, loyalty rank 4 was implemented to prevent people from making dozens of PSN alt accounts, getting the free newletter stuff, sending it to their main, then deleting the characters.

The Eristic wrote:You can't get old newsletter stuff on new chars, and they don't send them out enough these days to make that a real problem anyway. New characters? No. New accounts? Yes. You can easily make an alternate PSN account using one of the free email providers like Gmail or Yahoo and have all of the newsletter goodies.
The Eristic wrote:The biggest issue is that they have surreptitiously tied ISK transfer to LR4, as well, which has made it impossible for me to help my friends and killed my alt solely dedicated to giving money to those in need, paywalling a significant part of the game's social aspect (which is one of the only things Dust has had going for it in the long run). Before you go on a witchhunt... I am pretty sure the ISK transfer policy was an unintended side-effect. It should be fixed soon (not soon(tm)). Would like CPM or CCP to confirm this. Only sending items is effected by Loyalty Rank. You can still receive items, regardless of rank.

Cypher Nil wrote:when are we able to trade warbarge componants? I need to know when to spend 20 euro on each of my alts to keep farming content?? This man gets it. For the low low price of $20 you can have an ISK and warbarge component farmer.
Although, you might be better off just spending the dosh on getting your warbarge comp factory to V.

Sleepy Shadow wrote:No you canGÇÖt, your character has to be older than the newsletter. Character created today (even on a brand spanking new PSN) is not older than any of the newsletters. How recent is this change? I made an alt for my son in February and claimed the newsletter rewards from months before his character was made.
If this is the case then good. That's the way it needed to have been. But even still, exploits still exist involving new characters. I won't be going into details because spreading details of anything remotely considered an exploit could get be suspended or banned. I will report it to CCP though.

Sleepy Shadow wrote:I wish CCP offered items people wished to buy instead of putting features behind a paywall. I must stress that this level 4 nonsense does not affect me in any way, IGÇÖm level 9, IGÇÖm just annoyed at CCPGÇÖs new aggressive tactics. I find it incredibly distasteful to deny access to a long waited feature from people who have played for a long time. We need players of both kinds, those that pay and those that donGÇÖt. I'm not all that upset about the loyalty rank requirement, if I'm being frank. It's $20 to go from a freshly made character to loyalty rank 4. People pay more for used PS3 games. Hell, if you play Dust 514 for a month or two you could spend $10 or less to advance to loyalty rank 4.
They are adding a way to earn aurum from daily logins. The feature was pushed back, but if memory serves it should arrive within the next two weeks. Aurum from daily logins plus actually playing the game will allow for people to earn loyalty rank 4 even easier.

Link to the thread?
The ISK transfer lock isn't solely to stop F2Players. I hope they fix the exploit.
