With the impending roll out of the PC revamp scheduled for Warlords 1.2 I became increasingly more aware of an issue PC has: disloyalty. Allow me to elaborate.
When a corporation participates in PC they are accessing the closest thing to an GÇ£end gameGÇ¥ that DUST 514 has to offer. In other MMOGÇÖs, to participate in end game modes you must invest time and money. It is, quite frankly, ludicrous to allow a player who is a matter of days old to join a corporation then begin participating in end game content.
It upsets me as a old standing veteran and a proud owner of Loyalty Rank 10.
Now that we understand the problem, I propose a solutionGǪ
Starting in Warlords 1.2, in order to join a corporation a player must have achieved Loyalty Rank 6. This rank must either be earned through incredible playtime (indicating dedication to the game and its community) or purchasing aurum (investing in DUST 514GÇÖs future as well as their own characterGÇÖs growth). Loyalty Rank is indicative of a deep, passionate love for this game as well as the desire to stick around.
We want those proud, valuable players. More to the point, we do NOT want those who have not yet proven their worth to be participating in DUST 514GÇÖs highest level content. Planetary Conquest is , by CCP RattatiGÇÖs own admission, DUST 514GÇÖs marquee gameplay feature.
Next, I want to familiarize you with the phrase Noblesse Oblige: GÇ£the inferred responsibility of privileged people to act with generosity and nobility toward those less privileged.GÇ¥
In the near future we, those able to afford aurum, must be capable of sharing this gift with the common masses. CCP must implement the ability to transfer aurum from one partly (I call them Lords/Ladies) to another party (GÇ£serfsGÇ¥) in payment for fealty. In return, the masses will have an increased Loyalty Rank from aurum expenditure and thus join the ranks of the Incorporated.
I welcome feedback on this in all its forms, but please post your screen captured Loyalty Rank. An above average Rank will help to separate the wheat from the chaff.
Concerning Eve Online capsuleers Shortly after composing this it occurred to make that we share New Eden with other players: Capsuleers. Eve Online pilots lack a loyalty rank, but they do actively pay a monthly subscription. This puzzled me greatly, and I spent many hours drinking fine wine and having my feet massaged by rank 4GÇÖs before I came upon a solution. Eve Online players will default to loyalty rank 5 unless they have purchased at least one ship SKIN. If they can display a ship SKIN proudly then they will be considered rank 6 for the purposes of joining DUST 514 corporations.

+1.
I'm tired of this game being developed being ******** by people who think aurum is a sin.
This is an excellent suggestion and I fully support it. |

instead of making it maditory to have a specific rank, why don't we have an option in the corp window that only allows people to apply if they reach X loyalty rank, or X kills, X wp, Xsp, etc....
.......and have it vary by corp.
because you know...... not every corp is in it for the pc.
if i give you a clock, could you tell me the time?
think hard about your answer before you speak.

Loyalty Rank 8+ seems more fitting. Too many scrubs in it for fun and we can't have that. Only the most dedicated MLG Diamond Thunder Tier players should be able to join a corp.

This is a F2P, too many of you forgot this, it s up to you buy aurum of spend real money in this game, i ve been playng since 26-1-13 and i am level 5 and i will never reach level 6. I m still playng this game but do you think a 20 million sp player level 6 can perform better than a vet? You want close fights or aurum based corps?

A few things I'm going to pick out.
First of all, I barely have rank 3 and probably won't get rank 4 for a while. I have played this game long enough to be considered a vet (2 years). Having a Rank 6+ require to join a corp or to participate in PC will mean I need to play for a couple more years because I cannot afford to buy AUR due to real life obligations.
Now some corps train and help new people, a rank 6+ require to join a corp will make it difficult (not impossible) to organize these players.
As for your medieval caste system... I am against it. This will alienate players and will mean create AUR beggars for those that want to create or join a friends corp.
Also keep in mind that AUR is more expensive in other countries due to exchange rates. Yes in some it is cheaper as well.
Now that being said, I am a proud duster and I try to convince all my mates to grab a PS3 and play.
I will also say having a WP/SP requirement for PC would be a better (and needed) option.
I find your lack of heaviness... disturbing...

Bro, with all due respect, this is a horrible idea. Reminds me of "trickle down economies" and the current inequality of US of A, You want to alienate people from the end game. Thank God almighty that your not working with CCP.

Are any of you aware of the fact that in New Eden you are ALWAYS in corp, if it's not playermade its a NPC corp.
Being part of a corp should NOT be limited in any form at all.
On the other hand I think it's ok that we use loyalty level to limit access to PC's
In Eve all players pay monthly fees or buy plex from other players paid real money for on the marked for ISK. So please DONT start to mess with loyalty in Eve, I played Eve almost 8 years now and if I want to bombard a planet I don't need your permission or your loyalty crap I just go do it.
In Eve we have to do things (missions/minning/whatever) in order to gain standing with agents of higher tiers/levels in order to get access to higher level missions, and with corp's in order to buy things and do stuff in there space.
Maybe we could do something like that here in Dust to. |

As a CEO of a major corp in PC I'm completely against everything you just said mainly because this is dust a brother game to EVE and it's not supposed to b easy. Some of you complain because it's hard to start out in this game but that's what makes this game better than most others.
Secondly the whole loyalty rank stuff is complete bs cause all it really means is how much aurum you have spent on this game so it's not real impressive when you tell people u have a high loyalty rank.
Also as people complain about the game being hard making a loyalty rank 6 a must have to join a corporation is ridiculous because I'm only loyalty rank 8 I've been playing since 1/6/13 and I have spent probably over 100k aurum on boosters and assorted things so it would take people probably 4-5 years to get rank 6 without spending aurum
All in all ur goal sounds cool but in reality it would just never work and would make even more people leave the game
