This film got me really excited for HAV updates, and I don't even tank.
CCP, please fix the small blaster asap. It's got to be more beneficial to have 3 guys in a tank with small blasters, than it is to have three tanks. Otherwise why bother with that level of cooperation. |

Could the answer to balancing tanks be to have the driver have ro pop out of a hatch to use the top small turret? I'd like to see the tankophobes come up with a complaint then!

76mm guns and the rounds fired from them had less HE and smoke performance than the previous generations 75mm rounds so it's not a total loss.
The 76mm as I understand it was the american answer to the question of why weren't their rounds scoring reliable penetrations against heavier german armour that had be plaguing their tank crews for years.

I have a history major who loves WWII stuff explain a lot of this crap to me.

Would have been great for all of those poor crewmen if the US Army Ordinance Department had tested the weapon properly and not accepted the word of mouth on the effectiveness of British 6 pdr cannon firing from close range at the face hardened side armour of a Tiger.

When tanks are 1 Million ISK or more they certainly are not affordable or profitable, if they are for you that is a result of you being in a PC corporation and likely a long term veteran who already has far too much ISK for their own good right now.

Tanking requires good amount of invested SP. And what you get is a limited role that can only kill and shoot.

Im just gonna write this because reasons:
The last bit of that movie is probably one of the stupidest scenes ive ever seen in a warfilm, a tank without its track is basically dead in the water and the crew would either bail or try to repair the tracks, especially in a sherman which only advantage was its mobility.
An elite SS unit just running straight at the immobile tank shooting it with small arms like braindead idiots? Haha
Newsflash: Destroying a stationary sherman tank would be easy like taking candy away from a baby for the SS soldiers, the tank would not in a million years spot a soldier crawling in the bushes at night with a panzer shreck, even if they didnt have AV, they could simply walk around it or call in an airstrike on it,
not very likely that giving the lack of resources germany had that late in the war, but maybe the SS units had airsupport priority.
My point is that in WW2 tank crews had actually less chance of survival than infantry and any experienced tank crew would bail on an immobile tank in a heart beat. Im not saying the tanks were weak, they just got blown up a lot.
Treating Fury the movie anything more than it is, a hollywood movie, is just childish.
