I hear the Victory music, the Defeat track, and can barely hear the music played while searching the star maps. But that's it. ****, even Darude - Sandstorm would do now.
A good soundtrack, and stability fixes would get me playing DUST again. |

Most development teams do not have a producer who understands the emotionally connection music has to its players, so its usually the first part of the team that gets the shaft.
CCP is unfortunately no different in this regard.
Usually banned for being too awesome.

The much earlier theme that played for DUST back in beta was really really awesome, the current one is not as cool.

Since dropships and tanks only appear on the tacnet, oh idk, 30% of the time now, FX is critical.

You could just have some ambient tracks kick in at specific moments, battle nearing the end? Add a track at the 00:30 second mark, or when an MCC nears destruction. Even when the battle starts we could get a 15 second snippet of music.
A soundtrack is crucial for any game wanting to create amazing and memorable moments that will keep it's fans coming back for more.
Imagine how much worse your favourite games would be without their fantastic soundtracks. If your favourite game is DUST, imagine it with an amazing soundtrack. |

As long as 5/6 (83%) of infantry AV weapons are Anti Armor based you're never going to achieve vehicle balance CCP

It was always in the background, and most of the time you didn't notice it, but when things got heated it sometimes just resonated with what's happening.

I asked a while back why EVE had a fulltime composer on salary and the only music he did anymore was for the log-in screens for each expansion, which regularly got cycled out.
You know what the response I got from a dev was?
"Use winamp".
