Im still new to this game but been playing for few months. And I made mistakes with my skills. Should I create a new character or just play on?. |

The big question is how much SP do you have? Because if it's more than 1-2million I'd probably say "No, it's probably not worth creating a new character".
Also, could you be more specific with what you feel you've made mistakes with?

I have 3.8+ mil SP. I accidentally specced in Caldari Medium Dropsuits.. And probably some mistakes on dropsuit upgrades because haven't read a guide back then. And I can't afford a respec.. |

Honestly, I'd say don't worry about making a new character, you'd be setting yourself pretty far back I think. A respec doesn't need to be an immediate purchase either (though I really wish they'd give new players a single use optional one under 5mil), keep on playing and eventually if you decide you want to you can purchase a respec.
It sounds like you've probably 'wasted' less than 1mil sp, which is ~1 week of sp if you were to cap out.

Thanks. I'll just keep playing. I'll probably not respec though. Maybe a time will come when I decide to use other race dropsuits for other roles. |

Someday you may decide that having a Caldari Medium Dropsuit is useful. In the long run I don't think this will be a waste. It slows you down a bit in the short term, were you would like to focus your skill points in one area, but starting over would set you back even more.
Hand/Eye coordination cannot be taught. For everything else there is the Learning Coalition.

Create a new character to practice and skill all the crazy stuff you aren't sure about.
Make all your mistakes on the alt so you get it right with your main.

You'll be fine. I skilled heavy suits to Proto, and then did a face palm move and Proto on sentinel needless to say I ended up buying a respec

Slightly off topic but what I always tell anyone that asks me that question is "Just don't do it again, and spend your SP on Dropsuit Core Upgrades from now on." Can't go wrong putting your SP there because those skills apply to ANY and ALL suits later on.
Armor/Shields, Electronics/Engineering, and Nanites/Droplinks in particular.
The first two pair keep you alive and increase your ability to fit higher tier gear and the last pair start you down the road to acquiring SP a little bit quicker.
