Forum Likes are, much like Facebook Likes, units of currency used to determine a person's worth. That worth can be anything from community interaction (such as Arkena), comic effect (Cat Merc), information sharing (CCP Rattati and to a looser extent, myself), or any number of things. This 'worth' in the communty's eyes culminates to the value that the player has within said community in alphanumeric form - the purist, digital conception of where a person ranks within the community.

Though there have been times that it has been abused (General John Ripper's like farming) or even taken advantage of (click-baiting), what it all ultimately means is nothing. That's right. In the end, it's just a number that signifies how often someone clicked their mouse button. How often they moved their index finger a fraction of an inch. How often they took the time out to bring that piece of technology that has taken decades to perfect to hover just over a button which has ultimately led to this final moment with which a neck beard used to evaluate and progressively contribute to another neckbeard's notoriety.

With this knowledge, I dare even say that the Forum Like is what unites neckbeards around the world to the concentration, proliferation, and archival of ideals that would have otherwise gone into the darkness and never been heard of again. To that, I say, thank you - forum goers - for wasting your time and making posts that have no likes that the rest of us may make sarcastic or derogatory comments in your stead to further boost our own egoes using this metaphysical currency that denotes how much someone mentally chuckled, not able to exhaust the actual effort with which to exhaust the verbal diarrhea of their content, and felt it necessary to inform the world of that.

Run on sentences aside, know that even if you are the sad sap who has 100 posts but not a single like, that we are with you in spirit if only to gawk at your pathetic attempts to leave your solitary confines; that we forum warriors recognize your sacrifice to no real purpose or means. That you may fade away so that we may rise to power.

In finality I have this to say: Give me some freaggin likes so I can hit 10,000 already you scrubs!
