I would like some new officer suits, instead of the extra slots I would like a non-amarr logi to have a sidearm and a commando to have grenades , in general you could add extra equipment slots and extra grenade slots. |

I do not doubt it in the slightest.
Yesterday I walked into a group of 3 proto assaults. I was on low health. It would have been trivial for them to gun me down.
All three of them bunnyhopped away from me and started spamming core grenades.

Kay, thread seems to be getting derailed with grenade comments.
I'm down for it but we really need an event for players to be able to carve their mark into history by founding their own officer suits like we did with the officer weapons.
You guys are like a broken record with this "CPM material" business xD Let it go

Grenades would be nice, but it'd come at the cost of any other kind of buff to the commando suit and God knows it needs something more thorough than one more weapon to fix it.
Dedicated Commando.

Commandos with nades is a NO, the defining difference between a medium and heavy suit is that medium suits are for advancing and taking territory and heavy suits are for defensive emplacement and holding ground.
nades help you root out suits from trenches/defenses/rooms and clear a path, they are not defensive but offensive clearing tools
if you give commandos nades then we'll see less of a reason to bother with medium suits and assaults will be marginally replaced with lots of commando's, the lack of nades on commandos is what makes them less used in offensive pushing tactics.
there are of course people who go outside of this design and that's due to the level of customization in dust but the "spirit" of this design still holds true.
no nades on commandos

I see it now. We've been wrong this whole time!

I don't believe that Commandos would be unbalanced if they had them, in fact I would say their slow speed more than makes up for the 2nd primary already. The Sentinels have grenades and are perfectly fine, and where they have a large weapon on a large frame, I see the removal of that large weapon in favor of a pair of light weapons a fair trade, especially with the small number of fitting slots heavy suits have to begin with.
