Can anyone tell me what the fluff says about the changes made to the clone bodies? There was that one paragraph in Templar One that I can't find anymore, but since I don't keep up on the fluff, I was wondering what else has been said.
Thanks! |

Our skeletons are largely constructed out of lightweight spacemetal, muscles are synthetic and enhanced, plenty of redundant & enhanced organs that can be repaired via nanotech, nanites course through the body at all times and can cause it to repair, dropsuits are largely unable to be removed and about the only 'normal' bit of us is our brains (sans the special sleeper derived implant).

I, some times, like to think that the suits themselves are our skin. |

So most mercs spend their whole existence in one suit or another? After dying and respawning on the battlefield is one thing, but in every day life? |

Have a read of this it basically summarises what we are, how our clones are made, and to a certain extent how we live.
https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Item_Database:Infantry_Gear:Dropsuits
In summary we are two and a half meter tall featureless frames of biologically enhanced nanites around a metallic skeleton that house additional failsafe organs as redundancies against the horrific damage the bodies are likely to suffer. Over the course of a 15 second period our bodies are composed of the nanites and then around the body the dropsuit and weapons are created/printed using digital licencing technologies. In this manner we literally have no physical clone, drop suit, or weapons stock piles to our name just BPC's.
Combat clones that we use in game are not designed to be used for prolonged periods of time because of the very nature of our dropsuits and weapons which bypass normal safeties and often times actually harm us during the use of them. These negative effects vary from irradiation and the formation of terminal cancers, broken limbs, and other trauma's that would otherwise kill normal human beings.
I'd say it's rather fair to assume that outside the combat zones we likely have other clones that we can use to live as normal. In several CCP trailers we've seen clones that diverge from the standard stock combat clones in that they do not have pale (pigmentless) skin, the red/pink eyes of an albino, and unique features.

We're probably not too far off from looking like the body of a Drifter in this video.
