it's brilliant! finally something that makes it feel like the eve universe. Scamming is a big part of eve. why not DUST514 too? I absolutely Love you CCP. Keep up the great work!

This has been brought up every time someone mentions "It'll be like in EVE", it's almost as if they've never played EVE.

Most basic trade wouldn't happen in Eve if you didn't have the trade window, where ISK and items are locked in and then confirmed by both parties after inspection of all elements of the transaction.

Trust based trading is lame.
Runescape (yes, freaking RUNESCAPE!) had a more advanced trading system a decade ago. (maybe longer)
Trade windows, though, are not lame. I'd prefer DUST to have a not-lame trading system like *shudders* Runescape....

I will offer my services as a third party. I have a channel set up for it already as well. I think with items being taxed the idea of still needing to trust is dumb. I will only charge the tax for being the middle man, and if you want to tip, fine, but I spend a good deal of time on Dust and helping people not get screwed (so they remain) is a good use of time. |

I agree, because it gives us the choice to make a choice. It wouldn't be much of a reflective universe without EVE's elements. I can get scammed, you can get scammed, we all can be scammed! :3 |

I doubt it was "let's allow players to scam" and more "let's get this out as fast as possible because people have expected it for 2 years now." I don't expect that Rattati wants to keep the trust based trading.
