I think it would be good to have a pop up on the hud when a team mate goes down, that way instead of just hoping to run across someone you can stuff nanites into, you can go find them, and help save your clone count. |

ya sorta like battlefield 2142, also would be nice for the person who got killed to have something on his display that let him know that there is a medic nearby. Becuase at times i have no idea who around to even heal me when I die so I always just respawn. |

Agreed. I have a Minmatar dropsuit setup specifically to provide medical and tactical support. I would like to be alerted as to anyone nearby that needs a medic or a support buddy. |

I would say that people should be able to call for a medic and then it appear on the map instead of being totally automated. Also agree that medics should be flagged for friendlies to see on minimap, same for any friendly support ships that come up whether that be remote sensor boosting etc down the line. |

I agree. Maybe instead of just the "O to respawn" have a "X to call a medic" . Then a + wouldn appear on the mini map. Or maybe there would be a skill to train or item to buy to be able to have this ability to see fallen teammates. Some addition needs to be made to the medic/patient interaction. I would say a wait time during the bleeding out period, but people tend to hate that for some reason. |

Personally there must be an icon to see fallen team mates as well as an ability to call for a medic. The down side to a wait timer in the bleed out is if there is not medic close by your waiting for nothing. |

Considering some of these suits can get expensive I would really like it if it was obvious to a medic that I could use some of that nanite injector hes got.
Something on the map and maybe a special icon on my HUD over the downed team mate would be nice.
Being able to pick up a team mate will be very important in a game where we spend ISK on our resources. |

+1 100% right now there is no reason not to bleed out every single time. |

Agree to this.
While you're at it... give the medics a meter gauge of how far the downed teammate is so that they can tell over comms how far or if they cant get to the person.

I second this, also medics should have an icon over their head so to be better identifiable as well as be marked on the mini-map as suggested above. |

I love this idea. It would be nice that if you have the nanite injector as an item you are carrying it would give you a symbol over your head so people know you can fill the medic roll. Also be nice if you could view the map while you are on the ground half dead waiting to be healed. That way you can tell if a medic guy who has the symbol for them is near by. |

Lets take it a step further... those with repair and medic capability in their dropsuit would have the symbols beside their name!
That way if you see a medic, it would pay to roll together as team since you know you can get picked up! the same way people in a vehicle can easily identify who can help repair them |

hey devs!
download the mag demo from the playstation store. steal that system. done...
for those who do not know mag, it's a lot like what's being tossed around here. if you are a medic, a symbol designates that for all friendlies. also downed but not out players are marked for any friendly medic to see. but if you CAN'T revive you are spared the HUD clutter.. but it's mag so if you can't revive, we hate you and go back to CoD...

As the poster above me stated, MAG has an *excellent* system for telling what a player specializes in. You can't go wrong, CCP, by at least examining what Zipper did with MAG and emulating it.
For instance, if a player carried medical equipment, it was denoted with a cross next to his or her name. If they carried equipment that enabled them to repair vehicles, bunkers and other structures, it was denoted with a wrench next to their name. If they carried both, well, it was shown with a cross *and* wrench.
No guesswork required. You simply knew what your teammates specialized in by simply glancing at the symbols accompanying their on-screen names. |

Would be nice to have the MAG symbols. However, i see a flaw in video game "reviving" : if ur gonna patch up a soldier so he can start shooting again, WHY THE HELL are ya gonna do it in the exact spot he was shot in?!? We all know that's not what a real medic does, they get him out of harm's way first, either by dragging/carrying to cover or transport to base. Attempting to give him a shot, even if it insta-vives, in the middle of a battle is just gonna get the medic shot too! Sorry for rant, but my new opinion is that current FPS genre revive mechanics only discourage ppl from going medic. |
