The amount of b+«tching is unreal. Be glad the damn game is coming out at all! They clearly stated they're borrowing more from the original Battlefront than it's rushed sequel. (The original, in my opinion, being the best one in the whole series.)
Seems that what everyone wants is a current-gen Battlefront II. Did no one seriously play the first Battlefront?

What am I talking about? This isn't battlefront, this is Battlefield: Star Wars edition >.> And how is that bad if it is? As long as it has pew lew lasers, wookies, land air and sea combat and frostbite 2.p, how can you really lose? They're not using the BF engine. They actually are running Frostbite 3.

The first Battlefront may not have had the most ambitious (but flawed) game mechanics that its successor had. But as an infantry-vehicle game, it felt all-around a more solid, memorable game. Infantry gameplay was better, (Sprinting droids? the f++ck?) vehicle combat was tighter, more responsive and more immersive (with an actual cockpit first person view that the sequels lacked, in all it's iterations.)
I played both Battlefronts for hundreds of hours on end each one, but the one that left a more lasting impression was, by far, the first one. It felt more like a true-to-the-movie Star Wars game than all of its successors in the years that followed.
