Well according to this, there is currently over 2000 players online. Not 1,000. Keep in mind that people in other parts of the world are sleeping. So it would be safe to estimate the player base between 3,000-4,000 maybe larger.
Sure its nothing big or fancy but it is hell of a lot more than 1,000.
Also most gamers have other games to play and most people do have lives outside of dust.
I find your lack of heaviness... disturbing...

I have a PS4 and still play this.
Planetside is different, but not necessarily better as a whole.
If you don't want to play, that is fine, but don't come in and tell other people who hold opinions different than your own what to do, in a way I can only describe as extremely and overly self righteous.

Actually I play with different people all the time. Sure sometimes I end up doing a couple matches with the same people, but I do see a variety of people out there.

Only thing I've ever enjoyed in ps2 were its literally massive battles.
But as soon as a giant one breaks, everyone goes home to idk, lame land or some shiit.
Also the sence of permanence isn't there to me. Fought a giant battle, and here's nothing to show for it.
Those battles tho, are pretty sweet
