But I do think Godin's post is correct: the "axes" you see in the Lore and historical artwork about Amar--Min enslavement and breaking the shackles are largely for inspiration for the Tribes. And the bladed or ax-shaped items come mostly from VERY CEREMONIAL staffs/totems that are key to their beliefsGÇª not intended or allowed for killing.

Blades are a funny subject in Dust. IT's a close-up weapon, yet the only Race who sells one on the market is the Race that believes "getting up-close with you enemy" is a stupid way to do combat.

Because of its cheap cost to produce (maybe not to PURCHASE or FIT Roll

), I would have expected the Minmatar to jump all over knife-production in their warfare, and leave all the other three more advanced Races laughing and lampooning them as "Those Stooges Who still Believe in Trying to Stick Us with a Piece of Metal, --Haw-Haw!"

But hey, it doesn't have to follow true-to-life sense--it's only a game.
