Bob, let's be very clear, they are NOT "adding Minmatar and Amarr vehicles".
If you want to get excited about this, great, but don't make it more than what it is.
Sometimes I wonder if everyone here is on CCP's payroll but me.

You're right, they're adding variants of Caldari and Gallente vehicles that will perform exactly as an Amarr and Minmatar vehicle would perform, have Amarr and Minmatar slot layouts, Amarr and Minmatar base stats, have the color of an Amarr and Minmatar vehicle, and be named in a fashion that is Amarr and Minmatar. However, because the actual shape of the HAV is not different, they are most definitely nothing like Amarr and Minmatar vehicles would be.

I would prefer it be done right, or not at all.
I would prefer CCP to show a little pride for a change.
They tend to always do things half assed, and from reading some of these posts, it's clear why.
The players don't demand any better.
Why do so many two year old bugs persist? Because the players accept it as "oh, it's just CCP".
The 2d Warbarge was only as good as it had to be to get by. Everyone just accepts it.
Look, I don't really care that much anymore. I play DUST to have a little fun.
If everyone really believe we are getting "new" vehicles, then I think that is wonderful.
But don't tell me they are new, and that I am somehow wrong for not falling in line and calling mediocrity excellence.
