Pretty much. Half the reason I like this game is because of the RP work I've done to create my character, etc.

If I had to provide feed back, and I don't mean this as anything other than an objective critique, I don't feel like there is any story here besides the loud and clear statement of "I am a veteran. Do what I tell you. I have a higher Win/Loss than you."
Perhaps in edits or follow up chapters you could go into what Kor Azor wants done, why they need logistical support, who is attacking their assets, why, what is the state of the district, who lives there, is it all as simple as you think it is, who are you with, etc.
Plus you never really developed who Dries is. As a reader I want to know who the main character is.

Nothing but give you context and a purpose within New Eden. All of my favourite games are story driven RPG's each one gives a great plot but also a sense of purpose and sometimes the freedom to pursue goals how I want to, in Dust this is very much the same.
E.g- You sign up and are a player.
I signed up and joined PIE Inc. PIE Inc is a decade old EVE alliance founded on RP for the Amarr Empire. In terms of lore we're a paramilitary organisation that serves the Empire in a variety of ways, was involved in the establishment of CVA in Providence, and now represents the 24th Crusade in FW.
Beyond that were pretty much a close group of pilots and Dusters who spends their time fighting for the Amarr and uses RP to justify that as opposed to being Pirates or invested in Null Sec/Incursions/Industry/etc.
