Well, you are assuming that people check their mail when playing. I hope you enjoy not playing the game and sending out a dozen mail that takes forever to open and compose each one for the chance that the enemy actually read and take your advice. That is a level of spiteful that boards to close to useless and pointless.

You're right, sniper rifles are designed for long distance rather than cqc. At 40cm, it's likely that I'd have to aim while standing, thus dealing with crazy sway, or no-scope. Either way, I would miss and be a totally worthless teammate to have.
I will stick to my spot 350-450m away.
And I will snipe rather than snip in future :)
But I'm not going to stop doing it just because some other people on the team are. I never see threads asking complaining about too many scouts or logis on a team, for example. |

^ best question....sniping is fun... seeing those heavys jumping, or those jumping beans falling and get the killing assists!! killing the cloacked scout...
and instead of messages put nanohives near them... it makes easier for me to find them and hs them...

Says the guy who's on the "Elite corp" yea right.
I've taken out more droplinks and ammo links with a sniper and trust me it works. I've even killed scouts that were on cloak = You can't fool me and I can see them very well. A running scout is a dead scout in my eyes.

Amen brutha. Usually when I snipe it ticks the opposition off and they then try to snipe me. So, by being useless I just made someone else become useless and evened the odds!

I've seen more than my fair share of assaults and scouts being useless (usually what makes me rake to sniping). So, it really isn't the role. This is what happens with protostomping power players thrown into the mix of what otherwise would be a fun game.

If you miss at 40 centimeters you shouldnt be holding a plasma cannon, much less a sniper. XD ;)

The sway on a sniper rifle makes it really hard to shoot quickly, which is kinda important at 40cm most of the time. I've killed people at 1m before, but they were fellow snipers so I took the time to crouch and wait for the sway to stop, then to aim properly.
Firing quickly with a sniper rifle (going round no-scoping) is more of a controller type of play style, and I play with a mouse and keyboard. I can plasma cannon pretty well with it |
