DUST is a free to play game though. That draws attention. Planetside 2 will be F2P (right? I'm not spewing sh*t from my mouth?). Would DUST do better than Planetside on PS4 if DUST were to move? Maybe. Just maybe. Would it compare to paid shooters? Lol no. You cant say that DUST would die on PS4 because of Hardline, PS2, COD, Destiny, etc, because look at where this game is. It's *still* alive (though I suspect on life support), and look at all the shooters that have come out: Destiny, 2 Call of Duty games (Ghosts and Advanced Warfare, right?), Borderlands, Far Cry 4, and Wolfenstein. Those are (almost) all games from 2014. In 2013 (when DUST launched) Crysis 3, Battlefield 4, Bioshock, Metro: Last Light, Payday 2, and a few other smaller shooters came out. This game is *still* alive.

Your connecting the wrong dots dude. FW isnt the/an issue to worry about. about a gajillion other problems that would actually help the game far more than cutting out FW. Ps, guess which game mode worked yesterday when public contracts didnt. Hint: FW. WOW! Just because FW was the only map working yesterday, has NOTHING to do with the discussion. Its a FACT that there is more lag in skirmish/FW/PC. Why you ask? There is a lot more going on in those matches. Larger areas, more objectives, more everything. Ambush has the least amount of lag. Basic cause and effect.
I get so much lag in ambush it's not even funny. ._.
