You can post about the benefits of PCs all you want, but the fact remains that this was released as a console game like they said they intended it to be back in 2009, built up a community of console players, and moving the game to the PC would leave a large number of them behind.
No matter how you spin it, that sucks.

Why not play both on their own platforms?
I'm currently playing EVE on a 3-year old laptop. You can run that game on pretty much anything.

Why is that? Is it a matter of funds, disgruntlement with CCP, or not wanting to get into EVE without help?

Eve: Online would take up too much time, and I wouldn't have enough time for Dust.
