The Assault Scrambler Rifle has more range and DPS than an equivalent AR. It reloads faster and performs generally better at range than an AR due to better accuracy attributes. On an Amarr Assault the weapon can effectively be fired without worrying about heat since nearly every shot in the magazine can be emptied before it overheads.
It is everything but "fine"

It is everything but "fine" yeh , if it don't overheat from rapid firing an entire clip , something not right. Did not know that was like that.
It would be fine if the gun had less DPS like it use to, but after the insane buff it recently received, it has both more DPS and Range.
Assault Scrambler Rifle vs AR
~123% Damage per Shot ~88% Fire Rate ~109% DPS ~103% Magazine Size ~127% Damage per Magazine ~83% Reload Time ~137% Optimal range ~125% Effective Range
As you can tell I'm a slightly bitter AR user

DaemonVok wrote: Listen, I'm an amarr. I use tactical scrambler. I absolutely hate the assault, you know why? Because anyone that has any skill whatsoever could use the tac for 200% if not more effectiveness. I fire my tac faster than the assault could ever fire. I have more damage, and can almost fire a whole clip because I used my hard earned points to specific it's racial suit to use it in its greatest form. The fact that you chose a different shield weapon that has a very similar tac weapon that has more ammo in the clip, slightly slower RoF, and slightly less damage but choose not to use it, NOR use the effectiveness gained by using a SIDEARM to do damage as well, is not my fault. The tac AR has more opportunity to be devastating than the ScR because it has more in the clip. You know how they countered my damage and kill time? Heat build up. I reload faster because I have to reload more often. I have more ammo because I must use more ammo per kill. It's simple math. Stop letting the fact that you're disgruntled blind you and step back, look at racial bonuses and think, "Why would this be made this way?" And it will all make sense.
Well, ok, but I'm not comparing a Tac to an Assault, Im comparing Assault to Assault. The point I'm making is that operationally and mathematically, the Assault Scrambler is superior to the AR in basically every way. That's a problem. Oh also, even without the Amarr Assault, the Assault Scrambler will output about the same amount of damage before overheating as the AR does before it needs to reload.
The performance of the Tac variants is not even part of that. Stop changing the subject to something else.

DaemonVok wrote: Alright in that way, yeah I understand your issue. I'm used to people complaining about the tac. Sorry. Agreed, the AR should always be far better than any assault VARIANT weapon. Because it came first. And the AScR is pretty good but the kick makes it harder to use. But again, kinda changing the subject, Why not dog on the RR? It is also far better than the AR in straightforward damage...??
The ARR's damage isn't that bad, its more the extreme differences in range that I tend to have issues with.
Assault Rail Rifle vs Assault Rifle
123% Damage Per Bullet 75% Fire Rate 92% DPS 83% Magazine Size 102% Damage per Magazine 120% Reserve Ammo 107% Reload Time 180% Optimal Range 138% Effective Range
In that case its really the range that is the outlier. Trading -8% DPS for +80% range is ....a little insane.
