Step 1: Open Battle Finder
Step 2: Select All Gamemodes, start searching
Step 3: You should have the Loading Circle of Doom on the bottom right. If you do not leave this screen you will be disconnected, or timed out.
Step 4: Hit L1 and load up the Skill List. This will prevent you disconnecting as it will not time you out.
Step 5: DO NOT try to Restock, Send/Open Mail, Check the Leaderboards, Buy from the Marketplace; during this time. You will get the wheel of doom and disconnect.
Step 6: You will deploy after about 5 minutes. Highly likely to encounter 2v2s.

Trial and Error, and some minor knowledge on being timed out on other devices. Just had to find a way to bypass it and voila lol. Hope I helped!

Yes but it is less common, the last 4 PCs I played and the last FW all had EOM screen so I assume it has been fixed.
