Day 14 - Tax Evasion

Oh ho ho! I managed to be rather slippery today and avoided paying the obscene interest on my debt to the Server Gods, but only just!

Unfortunately, I only managed to play two Skirms today, and I lost both of them, but they were still pretty fun nonetheless.

The first match was vs The Dark Cloud, Gideon McAllistar, and a PFB dude. I managed to carve into The Dark Cloud's thick, juicy Commando CK.0 rump once, and sprayed him down with Six Kin ACR bullets another time. I'm also pretty sure I killed Gideon at least once. At the end of the match, I had gone 7/3 - best K/D on my team - and I recall The Dark Cloud went 12/6. There was a bit of lag, so I probably could have done even better if I had a better connection in that particular match.

The second match was very interesting. On my team was Ian The Conquer and a few 0.H guys, and the enemy team included Shotty GoBang, (), Cross Atu, and Breakin Stuff. It was an incredibly hard-fought battle, but in the end, our team conceded defeat. Regrettably, I didn't encounter Shotty the entire match, but I stabbed Breakin a few times. The lag got so bad at one point that I had to abandon a seemingly easy Knife kill because the red was teleporting rather than running. I produced a comparatively fantastic score - 11/1 - when the next best K/D on my team was 10/8, a 1.25 K/D. Ian The Conquer went 12/10, and Shotty went 14/7.

I got ready for a PC against DMG, but irritatingly, we were all kicked from deployment and the contract disappeared from our Battle Finders. I was really looking forward to an opportunity to tangle with TheD1ck again...

Best Nova Knife kill today; when I put The Dark Cloud on my dinner table and carved him up like a Christmas Turkey; a tasty meal for all the family!

Worst fail; definitely when I tried to stab that Amarr Assault but the lag said 'lolno'.

P.S. Apologies for the late entry: I unexpectedly ran out of time yesterday when I was almost finished writing Day 14's entry. Expecting a draft to be saved, I shut down my laptop. Naturally, a draft wasn't saved, and I had to rewrite this entry. You're looking at Day 14's revised second edition!

Day 27 - So Much Meh

To cut a long story short, today has been quite bad, and DUST in general is getting boring. I desperately want to run my Assaults again.

I ran Skirm, got stomped, got p!ssed, and solo queued for Dom because I couldn't get any squads. In the Dom, we were nearly instantly redlined, and I left the match.

I queued for MFW solo and, to my surprise, was put in a match with 7 other 0.H on my side. I bet the reds thought we were Q-Syncing. We won by a landslide, as was to be expected. In the next match, I ran into Cuse Town333 and his lot, and we had a pretty tough fight. I recall that I did pretty well, coming 1st place. I can't remember my K/D though...

Saddeningly, I'm counting down the days to the end of my marathon like a child counts down the days for Christmas. Everything just feels so boring now; so monotonous. Running my Minja is really feeling like a chore now, as is writing my blog. I just need to spice my gameplay up. I keep making Assault fits on Protofits, and I've been imagining what it would be like to run a Cal Assault. On Protofits, I made a fit that had over 600 Shields, a 2 second regen delay, and regen at 52HP/second. Now, that's a fit I'd love to run!

Don't get me wrong: the Min Scout is a fantastic suit, and is a hell of a lot of fun to run, but running it exclusively for so long makes it really boring...
