Hit detection is seriously wonky in this game.
What you describe does sound beyond hit detection.
At the same time -- I can't trust your story as you are super emotional -- which affects memory.
So, replacement question, was all the cheating in question done with a dropship? |

Other times I've played against people who openly admitted to CHEATING against me. Bigads Asskicker did that one. I have the mails. And other times people who never miss with assault forge guns, possible but very highly unlikely. Infantry and vehicles... Even behind and through walls and mountains. Very stupid. But no. Most "CHEATING" done to my starship could very well be stupid game mechanics... But... I know it can't all be.
I feel and suspect cheating often -- but a lot of the time it is internet traffic and how this game doesn't have the best netcode or best balance of interpolation/extrapolation.
I mean it is theoretically possible to mod a playstation and homebrew a custom hack. But the hardware and software for that would be pretty uncommon so even if it does exist odds are you won't run into it.
What you MAY be running into is controller adapters. That is about the only widespread easily acquired cheat.
But modding the system and running homebrewed software? Probably not. |

So, replacement question, was all the cheating in question done with a dropship? I need to revise an earlier statement. My memory WAS impacted, sorry. With stacked skills and using an afterburner you can shoot only 11 shots. With a complex heat sink probably around 17-20 I have not checked. My bad.
No worries man. It happens to all of us. Literally human nature. As I said before, sometimes I think people are doing something fishy. Maybe they are, maybe they aren't, but it is no less frustrating. |
