It allows the more experienced mercs to work out the bugs
Keeps noobs from getting scammed right off the back
Keeps people from scamming with a multitude of alts
Vets can more easily take a hit from a scam due to more resources
To list a few reasons...
It could possibly be lowered later but I think it's a good starting point.

It is there for a few good reasons, mainly that it removes key farming, component farming, and newsletter farming, but "it stops scamming!" is not a good reason to put a fairly basic function behind what is effectively a pay-wall. I'm looking at the beginning of trading. We, the vets, will work out the details of how to make a reliable system before the newer players get involved. Not everyone is included right now, and I agree more should be included, but by allowing some of the more experienced and loyal customers "beta test" the system we can have a better tomorrow
