Blaster will never be an adequate ADS front gun until CCP programs in a proper first person cam with swivel, as well as remove the absurd inefficiency towards vehicles and installations.

All I know is when we had our ADS vs HAV duel that one day, you practically had to stick the nose of your ADS up my tank's ass for your front blaster. It worked, but I don't think most people can really pull that off reliably to make the small blaster effective against HAVs. Well new HAVs are mathematically impossible to crack with ANY ADS fit if the HAV is adequately fit and piloted. AV Incubus used to be a thing but it's really not anymore, not against tanks anyways

In any kind of 1v1 environment the dropship isn't going to crack a tank that's altering direction and sticking / heading for cover. Now obviously 1v1 environments don't generally exist, so dropships do still get tank kills generally thanks to two things: astoundingly bad driving on part of the tank driver, or the tank is currently or has recently been damaged by another form of AV. That's the bread and butter, the biscuits and tomatoes, the tentacles and Japanese women. Wholesome things. America.
Now unfortunately while that's all well and good, the same AV that is putting a dent into a tank is putting out some serious hurt on your standard hull, so you pretty much don't ever get hover time. It's always go go go, particularly as railgun Incubus since without a proper first person cam you can't put in reliable work on infantry. And of course we still have the disparity of all anti air AV doing extra damage to armor. Maybe we'll get some new SKINS for our weapons that make them do opposite damage types. They'll be called "Official AMARR Laser Thingun TM" and be about as balanced as me off my meds. Which is always. Clearly.
