The ability to buy loyalty rank XP using ISK. Exchange could be around 25 LR XP for 1mil ISK (assume one battle gives 5 LR XP and 200k ISK, then five battles are equal to 1mil ISK and 25 LR XP).
My reasoning behind this is to allow people who have played the game for a long time but are falling short on loyalty ranks *cough* level 4 *cough* trading *cough*. I feel it should be reasonable to say that someone who has been playing a long time has a big wallet and can thus make a big impact on their loyalty rank.

Not a bad idea. Could be cool if LP from any of the stores also could be used....I'd rather just buy 40,000 aurum and support the game though, it really is trying to get on its feet guys.

1 billion ISK would trsnslate to 25,000 loyalty rank points at this exchange rate.
I would fking LAUGH if this was implemented and people flushed their ISK this way.

The whole point of this is to prevent players from setting up farming alt accounts. The LP requirement indicates that the account has earned it's rank. Very rich players could transfer ISK to alt accounts to set up war barge farms with this option. This would in-turn get them more ISK and allow them to add even more accounts. It could balloon out of control.
A better solution is to simply tweak the formula to reward participation more. IMO if you've been playing actively for 6 months or so you should hit rank 4.

The point is that it takes way too long to rank up. I've been Loyalty Rank 4 since the feature released four months ago! It's ridiculous. The amount of point until I reach Loyalty Rank 5 has fluctuated. One day it will be say 23632 (Im sure this isnt remotely right, but Im not near the game to log in and see what it's currently at now), then the next it will say something like 13458 (which is good), then it'll be up to 23582. It's ridiculously stupid that the d*mn thing cant decide where my progression is.

How about, just like how when you spend aurum you gain LP, whenever you spend Factional Warfare points in the Loyalty store you also gain some LP. Its 3 Aurums for one LP, i think. So maybe 6 Facwar points = 1 LP |
