If you are rank 2 or 3 then spend like $5 - $10 and you will be at 4.
Otherwise, you will need to play more. Much more.

I also have a hard time believing that you have been here since beta and only have 2 - 3 loyalty rank. Have you checked it recently? Do you play a match per week or something?

Sir Dukey wrote:Pay to win? The bonuses granted by loyalty rank focus on ISK and LP gains. ISK and LP can be attained by just playing the damn game.
Pay to win would be if loyalty rank granted you +10% armor HP, increased shield recharge rates, or something.

The butthurt inside me is spreading... i can feel it Paying customer keep the lights on and development going for everyone. They are keeping the game the F2Pers enjoy going. That's loyalty.

Also, trading (pay for loyalty 4) = more officer weapons to some people = win. You can earn loyalty rank 4 through play. Since the benefit can be earned without spending a dime it is not pay to win.
For it to be pay to win the feature would only be available for paying customers. That is not the case. It's just FASTER to pay.

And not even a lot of aurum, by the way. To go from 0 to 4 takes $20. If OP has been playing a while it probably won't even take that much at all. Don't supersize your next fast food combo and boom, loyalty rank 4.

More ways to earn LR XP is something I think we need to examine and Cross Atu is providing some good ideas. Brain storming thread: https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=2725622#post2725622

Faster =/= p2w
If you can't pay aurum at least pay attention.

Sir Dukey wrote:in my opinion- time spent on a game deserves more respect than money. Ask a business who they respect though. The guy who has played Dust 514 for two years and hasn't spent a dime or the guy who has played for two years and spent $20+
I'll give you two guesses, but you'll only need one.

JJ'S wrote:When it is taking you potentially 28 years to gain 15 ranks... How many to gain 4? How does the current system even make sense? LR XP needed grows exponentially. The requirement starts very small and increases more and more with each level. Getting from 2 -> 3 for example, will take muuuch less time than 6 -> 7. Comparing getting to rank 15 with the time it takes to get to rank 4 is asinine in a way I cannot describe with words.
Of course it's going to take longer.
If you want to improve this then help the community come up with ways to generate LR XP faster. I've got a thread open (that you have already shitposted in). Increasing the speed we gain LR XP through play will reduce that "28 years to rank 15" you keeping screaming about.

The point Joel is trying to make is that very few people who own a PS3 and broadband internet can't afford $5 - $10, I think.
I'm still extremely skeptical that OP is really loyalty rank 2 or 3 if has been playing his as long as he says he has. Maybe OP only plays a match per month.

One Eyed King wrote:The points for playing are so low that you basically have had to spend money. I know Spade has been around forever, but is only level 2.
I liked the idea of the Traders License someone brought up, so maybe there will be a work around. Why buy a trader's license, which only nets you one thing: the ability to trade, when you could spend $10 in AUR on literally anything else and get loyalty rank + the ability to trade + that thing you just bought?
"Being around forever" has precisely nothing to do with loyalty rank. It's tied to activity. If Spade logs in once a week and plays a single match then yeah, his rank is going to be low. Working as intended.

Sir Dukey wrote:you do realize that one battle probably gives like one or two points toward your loyalty rank while winning may give a little more. And between level 0 and level 4 you have to earn thousands of points. And you realize that just logging in, without doing jack ****, gives you 5 XP. You also get 1 XP per 500 WPs.
In a match I earn 2,000+ WPs: 4 XP + 2XP for the match + 2 if I win = 8 XP
Just play the game.
If that pace is too slow then buy the equivalent of one Burger King combo worth of AUR and you are there.
