I played FW all day yestoday and lost ALL battles, Scotty keeps putting me on a looser team.
I honestly think I could have made more LP without this crap event as I got put on the loosing side 99% off all battles I joined no matter what side I joined so this 50% bonus really did nothing for me. Amar sentinel amar assault scrambler rifle rail rifle 100% needles cal scout specialist uplinks....
In all I made about 60.000 LP at 300-500 LP. Per. Battle. And I have 2 boosters stagged.
I got absolutely no standing level gain anywhere and that sucks even more.
I usually get more wins then losses so I feel like I would had made a lot more without this crap event.
The only thing we solo players did was help the proto stompers get the new LP stuff and more state gear to stomp players with.
I'm started to think about just quitting this game a lot this week.
To understand why this happened to you, you need to understand how factional warfare works.
- Minmatar always fight Amar (and vice versa). A win for one will gain you standings for them (+75) and lower standings for the other (-15)
- Galente always fight Caldari (and vice versa). A win for one will gain you standings for them (+75) and lower standings for the other (-15)
- There is no matchmaking in FW based on Mu.
- More players and particularly more veterans fight for either the Minmatar and Galente factions exclusively.
- It is generally accepted that the reason for this is that the items available in their factional stores are better than those offered in the Amar and Caldari factional stores.
- This is why wait times for these factions are much longer than for Caldari or Amar. More players playing for them means longer wait times as you are waiting for players to join for the Amar and Caldari factions.
- New players who play factional warfare usually have all factions selected. This means that they will be disproportionately contracted to fight for the Amar and Caldari factions as these usually require players to match up with the higher numbers who have selected Minmatar and/or Galente. The end result of this is that on average you will have more beginners on your team if you fight for Amar and/or Caldari.
- Currently, if you want to win in FW you should...
- Fight for Minmatar or Galente if you are playing solo.
- Create a squad of veterans (or two and Queue Synch) if you want to play for Amar or Caldari.
Hope this helps.
