That event was the single time that Dust 514 was globally mentioned in EVE Online, and the one time where it really felt like both playerbases were really fighting for something together, even if the Dust players couldn't choose a side.
I don't know what resources you have, CCP Rattati, but if there is ANY way that you can get with your co-workers at CCP Reykjavik during this Drifter situation and set up an event that encompasses both games, I think it would do a lot toward getting EVE players paying attention again, and getting the Dust community feeling more engaged in New Eden.

Possibly the Other Contracts section could be put up again? It could have a selection box for which side you want the same as we have right now for Faction Warfare or game modes in Public Contracts.

Only one possible idea but it would at least provide some form of workaround to that particular concern. Also a good potential fix.
What about a tech harvesting setup, similar to the event that was run last year in EVE to select which nations would get the new Tactical Destroyers first?
Considering that CCP Rattati was talking at FanFest this year about bringing in the Acquisition game mode from M.A.G., that would be an excellent first showcase for it!
You could select a faction and be deployed into a match where you're fighting the other side to secure Objectives within wreckage of a destroyed Drifter vessel.
This would obviously require a few new maps, but they could all use the terrains we have now.

What Rattati is working on is essentially Domination with migrating objectives. MAG's was attack/defend where the attackers had to break past a ton of defenses to eventually steal to experimental vehicles from the defenders, and drive them to an extraction point. Just needed to make that clear. I would very much like an event showcasing this new mode though. Ah, I recall him using the name "Acquisition" and referring to M.A.G. as an analogy to explain the concept, but yes, it should be mentioned that that would be no means indicate a carbon-copy of that mode into Dust.

Aeon Amadi wrote:I've got a thread on the Eve Online forums asking the WH community what their thoughts are on Dust 514 coming to WH space.
Honestly think we should wait a bit as I think their feedback would be incredibly valuable for a number of reasons.
Lore-wise, there's a lot going on in WH space revolving around Sleepers/Drifters/etc. Subsequently, Dust 514 tech is based almost exclusively on Sleeper tech so there's a lot of ways this could go. With Sleepers and Drifter activity on the rise and Drifters leaving their own WH space in tandem with Sleepers we could use this as a golden opportunity to say that Dust 514 "did it first" by breaching those worm-holes that Eve pilots currently cannot (but you might want to run this by the Eve lore team). It would bring a -LOT- of attention to Dust 514, at least from Eve Online.
Gameplay-wise, I think there's a lot of merit to the POS bonuses that PC provides for Molden Heath alliances and that has yet to be fully explored because - let's face it - no-one likes Low Sec. If we moved PC over to WH systems and provided alliances POS bonuses (with which WH entities live predominantly out of because they can't have stations) there's a lot that Dust 514 could benefit there without being too critical of a disruption if anything goes wrong.
Further more the implementation of Dust 514 only items in the form of Sleeper/Drifter relics and artifacts would be a gold mine for interaction between the two games and considering we now (well, this month) have player trading, this would be a grand opportunity for Dust 514 players to make their mark in New Eden through the buying/selling/trading of exclusive lore-related items that Eve Online simply can't get their hands on.
There's a lot of places you can go with it, honestly. But I'd rather we wait a bit until we can consolidate what the Eve players want and what the Eve dev team is planning on doing. Well, I wasn't considering wormholes for my idea, but you do make a compelling argument for considering them.
Possibly the Capsuleers bringing in the new tech for the Tactical Destroyers is prompting the 4 nations to begin searching planets?
The main reason I would want this to remain in New Eden is such that EVE players could easily be involved in the case of a joint event, rather than having to find the wormhole in question. I do really like your wormhole idea, though, and it would provide for some neat gameplay!

That works :) Bear in mind that in the scope of this event there is not need to limit the conflicting parties to those engaged in CEWMPA conflicts. All Empires to some degree border on one another and currently the acquisition of Drifter tech by the Empires is very much so hush hush. Who knows what happens when a Gallentean survey corporation discovers the in tact remains of a downed Drifter ship and discovered Amarr/Minmatar crawling all over it. Exactly!
If you add in the growing tensions between the "allied" nations, this could prove for some pretty interesting player choices.
I know a lot of people right now exclusively play Minmatar and Gallente because they feel those two are the "good-guys", but what happens when those two are in competition for an extremely rare and lucrative resource?
Where will your loyalties lie then?

Ideally it would also give CCP Rattati a basis on which to iterate the FW game modes using this archetype of "King of the Hill" in varying sized battles.
Certainly event's like this are good but also need an over arching narrative to really conjure the scale that Caldari Prime had and get us as player involved. That's why I thought it would work to have said event involve the current Drifter encounters going on in EVE. It makes it more relevant.

True enough however a story arc like this in Dust would have to result in something similar in EVE as well as some kind of end result/event for them too. Otherwise it simply matters too little and is not worth hosting. Issue as I see it is that Caldari Prime was focused around a central Icon that both sides saw, understood, and participated in. The Titan. EVE players fought to defend/destroy it. Dust players saw it in the back ground, and were fight to have bragging rights/see their faction win. I don't see how a Drifters event could replicate that scenario. It would have to somehow involve an organized attack on a system in order to allow for the two games to cooperate. Problem with that is the Drifters haven't done anything overtly hostile yet.
