HMG: Range is very short, even less than Assault Rifles(as in the class, not the gun). I tried shooting at someone from a medium distance and it didn't even scratch their Shield despite me hearing the shots hit.
Scrambler Rifle: Deals too much damage to Armor for a gun that's only supposed to be powerful against Shields. This fact appears to be well-known as usage of it has more than doubled since it's buff.
Remote Explosives desperately need to be nerfed. People are literally using it as their primary weapon running around with it equipped. I did mention this before, my opinion is that the ability to throw it be replaced with a planting animation directly placing it on walls to preserve the stealth part of it. It's damage also needs to be nerfed as even Sentinels cannot withstand the blast from it at the basic level.
4/1/2015 at 3:05pm history was made. CCP Rattati announced the new matchmaking system.

Well, considering a Proto HMG has a base DPS of ~700 and an Assault Rifle has a DPS of about ~450.....doesn't it stand to reason that more DPS be balanced with less range?

Leave the HMG alone, it's almost fine now.
Scrambler rifle is probably the most powerful light weapon around, how to stop it's super power, idk, probably a little damage nerf and laser rifle efficiency, quickly go down at long range, very good at medium/long, quickly decrease at medium-short, very low at cqc.
RE are a problem, but underground objectives and narrow spaces are a problem too, sometime you need them. They should become more situational and nanohives should not resupply them.

We have a HMG that's supposed to be used at longer ranges; the Assault HMG.
Unfortunately the dispersion makes it so it can barely hit anything at 30m when it has an optimal of about 60m.Tighten the dispersion and see how it goes. if that makes it too effective, drop the damage by 5% and re-assess.
Also, rename the thing to Breach HMG, since it works like a Breach weapon rather than an Assault weapon.

The proto HMG is the highest grade, nobody even flinches from lower versions. The DPS for these lower variations is also too poor to make anyone flinch, I've been beaten more often than not when I trap people where HMG > AR should come into play but does not.

Didn't know about that but it's still a minigun, the fact that a variation extends it's range makes no sense.

Standard HMG does 640 DPS which is still more than a Prototype AR.

Balance Items * Nerf Assault speeds such that their mobility corresponds inversely with their HP potential * Nerf further MN Assault base movement speed such that it no longer out walks/runs the AM Scout * Nerf plates by expanding upon existing mobility penalties and adding penalty to ferroscale * Nerf the socks off of the Scrambler Rifle's CQC spammability
Performance Items * Nerf wiggle-wiggle by adding inertia to directional change * Nerf player-produced lag by removing the option to select a battleserver * Nerf curbs by finding all 2" curbs and replacing them with 0" curbs * Nerf wait times by disabling FW during offpeak hours and reducing squad size from 6 to 4

Nerf list
- Nerf nerf and buff requests
- Scrambler Rifles need to take a hit, as an armor or shield tank suit wearer (one or the other) they are bad no matter which type of tank is used

Then why does a large railgun give so much more damage with the BEST range!!
